This weekend's actually semi-eventful for me...jazz concert tomorrow at noon, then battle of the bands Saturday at 9pm.  Hopefully I'll get to hear some good music at one or both of them.

Nice, the only thing I have to look forward to (IIRC) is a funeral.

That doesn't seem as fun as concerts.  Disapprove

The vinyl? If yes, you're in for a treat... But what's a "picture disc"?

Hey Alex
A picture disc is a record with a picture printed on it, like this:

^ Cool! Is that a vinyl disc or is it possible only for CDs?

It used to be done on vinyl
From what I understand, its only really useful for singles, as the painted side sounds terrible, although I'm not sure if the modern method has gotten much better. I have that particular picture disc, and also Marillion's debut album on Picture disc.

Great to hear you've ordered Coyote, I can't wait for my order to arrive. Hopefully it won't be as long as Blue Lambency Downward did (3 months if I remember correctly )

The French post or the private delivery services seem to be pretty good, the last time I made an order it was like this: the order was placed Thursday in the evening and Saturday morning the package was in my mail box. Star

The last time I made an order it took about 2 months to recieve, and I'm still waiting on 3 which I ordered at the start of this year
Australia post seems to be getting worse. They lost about 3 items last year, and they never actually notify you that they've lost it until you call up. Really poor service most of the time.

With the Kayo Dot order, I recieved it 3 days after it was posted, but it wasn't posted for 2 months, which was a bit annoying. They do have a disclaimer saying that they may take several weeks to post orders, although hopefully that won't be the case with Coyote, they've planned to post it 4 days before its officially released.

That's really awful Joel. Isn't there a Consumer's Office where to report them?

They have an online reporting form, although I doubt they take the reports seriously. Usually what happens when they get enough complaints is they strike (like they did two days before christmas last year, which stuffed up the post for Christmas and a few weeks after) which then just stuffs up everything for everyone even more. It seems that because they have a union, they think they don't have to provide decent service
