I listened to most of Periphery II earlier and it was good. I'm glad Spencer's vocals have improved.

Alan how are you liking Periphery II so far?  I actually haven't listened yet, I'm going to listen tonight.

I like it a lot. Something seems different but I can't quite put my finger in it.

For some reason or another, the earlier discussion about Vomps' homosexuality made me think of FiP.  I wonder why?  WinkLOL

Fip hasn't been on PA in like two years.  I talked to him once on last.fm a couple of weeks ago, he said he wasn't really interested in returning and he got kind of busy outside of the internet anyways.

I'm really sick of the entire internet community regarding the new Periphery album.  The last year or so it had kind of become the "cool" thing for that scene to just savagely hate and denounce everything the band says, does, or releases, and now they're doing it again with this album, regardless of how good the actual album is.  Even just reacting to it in any way right now is making it worse.  I really hate the internet metal community.

Apparently Randy Blythe was arrested in Prague on charges of manslaughter.

I hope this means Gojira and Dethklok get bigger timeslots on the Lamb of God tour.
Did a serious double take there. I have a friend named Randy Blythe.

Cameron, Red Sparowes are great. I like their debut the most - Soundless Dawn. It's heavier post-rock done right.

Based what you've said they are just a bunch of bandwagoning idiots.

I love the review Periphery linked though.

My friend Randy Blythe is an English professor and plays drums in a blues band in Alabama.  So I feel pretty safe you're not talking about him.

It's quite annoying how the PR/MR lists always change because of some random album being rated highly.
