Yes.  At the risk of biasing your listen, I wasn't terribly impressed.

I'm really trying to discover a style of music that I can be interested in for at least a couple of weeks. The only problem is that by time I manage to come across a unique, exciting genre to explore, I'm already bored of it. I just want to find some music that's strikes me to the point that it's all I want to listen too. Does anyone else ever experence this kind of thing?

Most recently - The Smiths ;]

But kind of, i try to have variety in my daily music diet, but it's typically the same string of bands for that amount of time.

I typically get in these binges of certain genres, like PR, and ill get some new music for it, but the genre binges never last. It's only about the bands.

But generally, yes i guess overall i do the same.

Ahh, The Smiths! Thanks for reminding me.

I just started my first proper listen of "The Queen is Dead" and I gotta say, It's pretty much exactly as I expected. Though that's not a bad thing, I'm really liking it so far.

I hope you like it, but we all have varying tastes.

investigate some pre-Nirvana grunge, start with the complection disk Deep Six, then look into each of the bands on that Depp Six album, each of their extesncive discographies, the bands are Melvins, Malfunction, Skin Yard, Green River, Soundgarden, the U-men, then track down the rest pre-Nirvana bands, uoul be into a treat, the next, you can delve into desert rock, and stoner/doom, amd rhen sludge metal.

Chelsea Light Moving, a new band with Thurston Moore from Sonic Youth in it.  Their debut album came out this year and I love it.

And Kayo Dot was wonderful.  I just got home (before midnight too!) and wow wow.
Lots of pictures and even a few short videos (which may or may not be usable cuz it was loud in there).
