Just got back from a local music festival. A lot of okay bands. Some were polished but nothing special, some could have been great if their songwriting had more focus. The best one was a band called Water Spaniel, who are like a shoegaze/post-rock/heavy psych kind of thing.

The weirdest was a band called Amazing Energy. It wasn't their music, which was fairly standard rock music; it was their show. My brother aptly described them as a wedding band having a mental breakdown. Their lineup was: 1) a middle-aged guy named Reginald something who goes by Scott Panther. He plays guitar and vocals and presses his distortion pedal erratically and does the standard throw-things/walk into the audience thing, except he drinks everyone's beer and tries to kiss/dance sexually with the college girl they talked in to playing shaker minutes before the show. 2) A rather jaded sun-glasses wearing bass player who is being taught the songs by Reginald on stage as they're playing them. 3) A guy in an oversized Killer Clowns from Outerspace shirt, who only screams and is part of some Church for Religious Consciousness. 4) A middle-aged Japanese saxophone player. 5) A drummer who's energetic but rather normal in comparison with everyone else. 6) Aforementioned college girl. All their songs were about lovin' and acid and peanut butter. Pretty sure they were all on acid during the show.

Sounds like a band I'd love to see live.

I think I have to join this by default.

Curse you fair viking skin!
I have been burned by groups like this in the past...

I have read that they made it more of a hollywood action/drama type film than the biopic type film I wanted it to be, so there's that.
