Yeah make it your own and no need to for useless filler. Though dragons, elven longswords, wood elfs and orc sex is always a good thing, remember this.

And to quote George W Bush from Family Guy "Dont make me do stuff"

I'm considering dragons, but I'll probably leave those out too.  Try to make it as original as possible.

Not making anyone do stuff.  Just making it easier for when folks do.  LOL

Naw I have responded, and I kid about Orc sex. I hate Orcs. So very much.

One of the friendlier aspects of my book is that the chapters will be relatively brief and even.  As a reader, I don't prefer long-winded chapters, especially juxtaposed with very terse ones.  This will make the book easier to approach I think (especially for the ADD generation).

We are the generation that doesn't read so that's probably a good idea.
That sounded weird but yeah, we are the same generation, I think?

I'd agree with that, besides the story itself, I liked the DaVinci Code/Angels and Demons for that reason. The chapters are short, so it moves quickly and isn't too challenging. Can also pause easily and pick back up.

Not like the current book I'm reading, oh and House of Leaves!!! That thing was an avant garde nightmare in book form!

We're but 5 years apart, so perhaps.

I have 300 tests to grade and 125 pages of essays to edit over the weekend.  Unhappy
