Pretty good. I ALMOST got a job but it didn't work out...

How was your trip?

That's good. Good luck with that!

It was great. I'm glad to be home though; I composed nearly all day today. Now I'm finally just chilling with Miles Davis, and I have to get up kinda early tomorrow because we're having a house showing (Dead). I can't wait for it to sell, in a way, but at the same time---this is a bloody awesome house.

It's just that having your house on the market sucks. I guess we'll see what happens with that.

Hey I should have said something earlier but I'm lame so I didn't: I'm going to England for 2 weeks on Sunday! It's a summer course with some stupid college nobody's ever heard of, but my parents are paying for it because they want me to go there because it's Catholic! Woohoo! I will be off the internet for two whole weeks, which will be the longest time since...ever!

Sadly it involves politics. LOLCry I volunteered for my governor's campaign and a paying position was THIS close to coming through, but didn't. So instead I am doing it out of the goodness of my heart LOL
And good luck with that! I can only imagine how much of a pain it is

Haha, damn. That would have been cool to be paid for it, but oh well.

Thanks! Yeah, it's a pain, but even more so for my parents. At least now everything's all set; it's just a matter of maintaining the cleanliness and all of that. I wish the market was a bit better, but we'll manage.

whoever thinks that any prog album is a masterpiece should listen to this album before reviewing their so called masterpiece

Pink Floyd is the most boring of the big classic prog bands IMO. Animals might be the only album of theirs I could give anything higher than 3 stars.

And DSotM is an album that I've never really understood, even when I used to like PF.

Edit: Nick Mason is one of the worst drummers ever amirite?

urnotrite. At least, not always right. His work on A Saucerful Of Secrets, for instance, is just fantastic, evocative and incredibly individual. A sort of Eastern psychedelic drumming style. During his early period he's recognisable, and while he's not a technical demon, he's creative and adds to the songs. Admittedly, after Wish You Were Here he hardly comes up with anything likeable and though Dark Side and WYWH have appropriate drumming contributions, it's certainly not a point of interest in and of itself.

So, urite when you're talking about The Wall and Animals, and wrong the rest of the time. Because that generic hard rock in the 80s drumming sound sucked so much it was  compared to your mother, and because Mike Portnoy and Mick Pointer are included in 'ever'.

And/or, they just know good lyrics when they see 'em. And maybe they like things like songwriting, too Wink

If I wasn't being facetious, I'd mention that they have aims so different that they can hardly be compared... or at least they aim to achieve the same aim in such different ways that they can't be compared reasonably.

Would also make an awesome game. You know, exploring haunted abandoned utopias.

Speaking of regional food, I'm visiting my dad in Virginia and went to both Chick-fil-a and Sonic for the first time.

Chick-fil-a>all
