"Everyone"? Erm...
1) If you're not being sarcastic, I hope you know that The Dark Side of the Moon is one of the best-selling rock albums of all time. Note that I said "best-selling rock albums", not "best-selling prog rock albums"... that was not a typo. It even got in the Guinness Book of Records as the album that's been the longest on the top sales lists.
2) If you're being sarcastic.... well, you're nowhere as funny as you think you are. |

1973 Dark Side Of The Moon 4.57 (695 ratings) Despite its extremely high rating and high number of ratings, I've come across quite a few proggers who consider it a wildly overrated album (especially as a "masterpiece of prog"). It even has a higher rating than Animals (course I know DSotM is a much more popular and better known album over all). Fine album though it is, I rank it lower than a number of other Pink Floyd releases on the old prog-o-sential-metre (though a good album for many to start with Floyd). it's hard to bite ze tongue, isn't it? I do think of popping in and saying "I'm enjoying this compilation of Chinese noise music right now; you wouldn't like it." now and again but there's really no point ;P I'm just glad a few people read my KC review I posted at the start. |

That's not a majority. Just a rather vocal minority. |

What I like that most of you might hate. Being the YES fan boy that I am I pick Tormato. I think the album is great from start to finish.

The most underrated prog album ever is easily the debut album by Flash.

I love Yes's "Tormato". I understand that a lot of people don't like it for various reasons. Some hate the fuzzy effect that Chris Squire put on his bass. Others hate the fluffy Jon Anderson songs like "Circus of Heaven". Some hate it because of the cover.
I hear the complaints, but I still love "Tormato". I loved it when it came out and I still love it 30 years later. I think it rocks as hard as Yes ever rocked ("Don't Kill The Whale", "On The Silent Wings of Freedom") and yet also has some of their most exquisitely delicate and beautiful songs ("Madrigal", "Onward"). And man do I love "Release, Release"! Personally, I prefer "Tormato" to "Relayer" and "Fragile", even though I know that's blasphemy to some. |

I wouldn't go so far as to say I like it over Fragile or Relayer, but still I applaud you liking of Tormato .
Release Release is a fine tune! |
