Heh, I like that song as well.

There is this ad on YouTube that usually only plays for five seconds but it always comes on. It's for YouTube music and it just plays this annoying and stupid excerpt from some new song that goes "I...geAAAAven" or something like that. It makes me pull my headphones out and start crying. I hate it.

I think that's called "Tarzan Boy".  And it was a hit twice for some reason.  (The second time was because it was in a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.)

Speaking of awful songs that were a hit twice - "Into the Night" by Benny Mardones.  Awful!  Awful!  Awful!

Stuck In The Middle With You - Steve Miller

You can certainly hate the song, but at least hate that it was written and performed by Stealers Wheel, not Steve Miller. Wink Hilariously, I looked on the internet and found a whole host of people unclear on the authorship and performance of "Stuck in the Middle With You". As far as I know, Steve Miller never played the song. Yet the myth persists. Perhaps because so many people dislike Steve Miller.LOL

I really can't stand Neil Diamond, just a fraudster, like his (sorta) fake name. He plays the part well, but he will always be a friggin' tool.

^ Diamond had the voice, like Rod Stewart, that's what people liked.   As a songwriter he's a notch above Barry Manilow.

Actually, the words Ash nazg durbatulūk, ash nazg gimbatul, ash nazg thrakatulūk agh burzum-ishi krimpatul are the first lines of Steve Miller's Abracadabra, a song I've loathed since I first heard it.Wink

^^^ Don't get me started on UB40. Kareoke faux reggae. Absolute drek and one of the most hateful voices in the history of popular music
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Many songs that were popular in the early 1980s (the aftermath of the punk/new wave periiod) give me negative feelings.

Some songs that really make me cringe are:
David Bowie - Boys Keep Swinging
The Clash - The Magnificent Seven

I cannot stand hip hop at all.

Watch the movie Groundhog Day with Bill Murrey and you will hate it even more

Another one for me, the first six songs off the best of Queen. Especially that awful Don't Stop Me Now and least of all Killer Queen which I am only on the edge of cringing with.

The title song to the Footloose soundtrack is certainly cringe-worthy.

Journey - Don't Stop Believin'
Neil Diamond - Sweet Caroline

I get really irritated when big groups of people sing these.  Even by themselves, both songs are just gross.  And I assure you, I'm not a grouchy person. LOL

Another bunch of idiots, especially the singer - Smashmouth. I never watched Shrek for years because of that blasted song they sing. Utter rubbish, aimed at the 4 y.o. crowd.
