The article is about John McVie having cancer so they had to cancel their tour to Down Under, so that paragraph really wasn't relevant to the article but kind of jumped out at me.

I never really cared for Velvet Underground but it's not like I listened to them a lot. Lou Reed being dead is a sad thing tho, I liked Lulu and some of his Zorn stuff.
Béla Bartók's The Miraculous Mandarin is so damn evil zeuhl.

I have a Lou Reed boxset, but can't say that I was a big fan. There are some pretty good songs on there, but really Walk On The Wild Side is the only one that I can say I am a big fan of. Really the only song I remember off of the top of my head.

Checked out Doug Stanhope the other night (just a few short clips on YT) and I really liked him. Found him hilarious at times. Will check out some of the longer clips (I think there were some full shows) on YT soon. Thanks for the rec!

Is he a comedian or a musician with funny lyrics...or both?Question answered by Google. Political comedian. Born in 1967 in Worcester, MA. My dad lived there for about 12 years before his family moved to Michigan when he was 16.

Nice vid, Chris. Never listened to Marius Müller before. Disappointing, I know. I've heard a lot about him, but never really checked out his music. Perhaps I should do something about that someday.
