Not a bad little band, this KTU.  Not bad at all.

Acquiring the Taste

Heart

This is one of those head-scratchers for me...four or five stars?

(That doesn't mean I support a 4.5 star, though Wink).

You must have them confused with Tangerine Dream.

No, that's "too many" 5-star albums.

I can't confuse "not a single one" with "too many", they're too far apart.

Excerpt from The Tangerine Dream method of producing music:

1. Push record.
2.
Turn on automatic synthesizers.
3. Make coffee.
4. Have coffee while watching Sanford & Son
5. Turn on a second automatic synthesizer.
6. Take a dump.
7. Turn on third automatic synthesizer.
8. Cook lunch.
9. Turn off first two automatic synthesizers, and turn on a third one.
10. Read a bit of Melody Maker.
11. Press stop.
12. Get blind six-year-old niece to paint an album cover.
13. Repeat process for the next album.

So they make a 5-star album, and by repeating the process, they make many more 5-star albums. ClapClapClap

I think "Loved by the Sun" is the best thing they've ever done.  Tongue

Anderson did better stuff with Vangelis.

LOL

Too true.

I created some TD type sounds on a MicroKorg once, it was extremely easy to do.

I just looked at both again, and the first one made me laugh more, so no. Although I do admire your creativity...or lack thereof. Tongue

Oh, of course. It looks like you labored day after day working on such a masterpiece. It should belong in an art museum.

I'm listening to the new Nemo album Barbares for the first time.  This is my first experience with Nemo, so you could say that I am Finding Nemo.  (A little humor for my buddies with 2 to 5 year olds).

How's it sounding? It doesn't get better than Barbares or Si Partie II.

So far, 2 songs in I am loving it.  The music is really good, and the French vocals aren't a distraction.  Of course, I have no idea what they are singing about, but ...  I am still enjoying it.

I'm going to be trying that soon too.

For now it's my first listen of Satellite ever.

I'm getting a little sick of the attitude that worthwhile music ceased to be created after the 1970s.

I've been sick of that.

I also hate reading all the reviews where people blatantly indicate that they can't stomach avant, metal, or anything other than a "classic prog" sound that they're familiar to. It's no different than most people being familiar to that pop sound and never trying anything else. Confused

I agree. Worthwhile music ceased when the 80's began! Thumbs Up

Tell me about it.  Thumbs Down

I mean, why even come to this site if that's the case?  There's not that many "classic" bands...it's not hard to acquire their entire discography, then you can just listen to them over and over...
