Yes, Lusitannia is the historical (also poetical) name for Portugal.

MATCH 1:
- Italy is a team that always (since 1934!!!) has done history in the worldcup, and in spite of not having begun well in this championship, has come far and improved. Always it is necessary to have care with them...
- But Germany plays at home, played often really very well, has great names like Ballack, Klose and Lehmann, and I believe that appears as favorite.
MATCH 2:
- Portugal never won the worldcup... It would be interesting if they win... They had a great goalkeeper, a brain as Figo, and a very crafty trainer...
- But France has done a really great work in the last games, and has a great team, with geniuses as Zidane and Henry, and they are the favorites.
Therefore, I believe that the favorites are Germany and France, though this is a football, and you be never to be sure of anything...

Absolutely agree, the favorites are Germany and France but......
1.- Italy has always been a nightmare for Germany, never easy.
2.- France is not a regular team, if Zidane is with the lights off, France loses 50% of their power. If Zidane is switched on, well Portugal doesn't have a chance.

Do I need to add any more flags to my car?

Once again,
GO GERMANY!
TWO MORE WINS!
It's going to be tougher than a lot of people think though, against Italy.

My favourite would be Germany as well, because I think Klinsmann is a very courageous coach. He had the guts to reform the team drastically, and to stand up to the fearful wrath of angry bobo's .

Steady on! We're not having the Jocks muscling in on our WC win...
There's a brief account of the precise definitions of England, UK & Great Britain here:
but don't worry, imoeng, I doubt most Brits/Englishmen/Ukers would pass an exam in the subject....

granted I view 'football' with provincial eyes... but 0 goals
(directly) allowed is pretty damn good defensively.
Definitely rooting for Italia...

Mmmmmmmmm, a half hour to go 'till Germany - Italy. Will it be a boring game or a classic semi-final ? As a true Dutch man I hope those bloody Germans go out . But at the same time I am not too fond of the Italian defensive style of football. Hope to see a great match !
