Soma may be my favorite song on the album. :O

I WALK BY MICE ELF

AS I'VE ALWAYS FELT

So let the sadness come again
On that you can depend on me, yeah
Until the bitter, bitter end of the world, yeah
When god sleeps in bliss

Those lines use to leave such an impression on me, still does of course, but at the time I hadn't heard something so powerful and emotional, especially with that guitar solo beforehand. Man, those guys could really play.

No joke, that angsty stuff really helped me through some tough times.

Man, I felt the same way too. Pumpkins were really important to me a couple years back. I still love them of course, but I don't have that same relation and emotional connection with their lyrics as much anymore. I adore Billy's poetry, always will, but I'm different now then I was back then, you know. I kind of miss frequently listening to the Pumpkins - they have this very uplifting nostalgia that I get out of their music. I love dat feel.Big smile

You pick up his poetry book, Blinking With Fists?

No, I probably should. Thanks for reminding me that it even existed. LOL Do you have a copy?

Yeah, it's not fantastic, but it's definitely a fun read. Thumbs Up Very Corgan-esque.

Yeah, I shall check it out - it seems interesting. I'll see if it's in stores, if not, I'll just order it online.

It's bizzare when I remember that Steve Jobs is dead. It's not like he was a huge idol to me. I use iTunes and I used to use an iPod, but that's it. I do respect him for his contribution to the computing world, though. But he was never a huge part in my life. yet, it's weird thinking that we live in a world without Steve Jobs. It's just bizzare.
