These teams like the Saints and the Packers give a lot of points and so we may think that their defense is poor, but that's their way of winning. They give away the ball quickly by making big plays, so the defense is more often on the field. I hope we'll see a Packers/Saints match-up.

Damn officials made a huge blunder which cost the Lions a touchdown yesterday when they blew the whistle on the Brees' fumble.  The Lions were running that back for an easy touchdown.  That would have made it 21 to 7 at that point.  With that offense the Saints probably still win but damn that was a costly mistake.  Sad part is that apparently they blew the call by giving the ball to the Lions, since by blowing the whistle before the Lions recovered the fumble it should have nullified the recovery.  The league has some really f**ked up rules that really need to get fixed.

Also, if the Lions pick off any of Brees' passes that went right through their hands the Lions win that game last night.  Also, it really would have been nice to see just a little bit of pressure applied on Brees.  I think I saw him get a haircut and a complete manicure in the amount of time he had on most of those plays. Angry

Oh well, the future does look somewhat brighter, but I still have a feeling that the Lions will still be looking up at the leagues' elite for years to come.    At least until they learn how to play defense.  Which is funny, since neither the Saints or Packers are any good at defense either.

When the Lions trade for Asante Samuel and if they can stop committing penalties, they have a serious shot.

I think you'll see the Lions in the playoffs quite a bunch this decade.

Yeaaaaa!!!!!! NYG win.....I knew Manning would come thru with a good game. Falcons are pretty bad once the post-season starts.
If the Gmen can hound Aaron next week....hmm I think they have a legit shot.

Yeah Tuck actually played well. That makes a huge difference for that entire defense.

Tebow is going to off the Steelers in MoM's worst nightmare.

Holy sh*t.
I am honestly shocked.

Shootouts or "win but..." this year. Never expected the defense to actually play well. Not that the Falcons are the Saints or Packers frightening but that offense is no joke, which got shutout. As well as 41 yards on 15 carries for Turner. A shocking defensive effort from my Giants.
The run game looked the best it has all year, with Jacobs really running like a man possessed.

Eli was needless to say, perfect as usual. Great throws all over the field, that TD pass to Manningham almost made me cry it was so beautifulLOL

Well...if our D can contain Rodgers enough (and our offense can keep him off the field to begin with) a win is certainly possible. I at least have hope now.

Guess I also need to pray the Niners can beat the Saints. Not only would I LOVE for defense to actually shut them down but playing the Niners in Frisco sounds 9000 times better than the Saints in the dome. That would truly be a nightmare. For right now I am just savoring this awesome win! Best game the team has played this entire season.

The Lions got screwed on that call but honestly man, the Saints were a better team.
As it's been said, the Lions can become a scary, scary team next year. Seriously, if D Jack is cut loose from Philly if the Lions land him, it should be illegal to have both. Or get some more defense. Detroit is a contender for a good while I say.

o wow. Much as I want the Broncos to lose, I also want the Steelers to lose. Get them out of the picture and the Broncos can then go be annihilated by the PatsLOL
Also, Pittsburgh has enough. They can go away for a while....

Just catching the game now, but looking at the numbers seems like typical tebow. Pretty crappy BUT makes the few count for big.

Eli was great, but you can't call him perfect when he takes an intentional grounding penalty for a safety.

How are the Steelers not getting called for these facemasks?
