Right- I get the "artistic vision," if you will, for things like this, but that doesn't mean it is in any way appealing to me (or most people).
I wouldn't imagine you approving any of Zorn's artistic visions of major impact.
That's because I, unlike John Cage, do not equate music with sound. An artist can create a powerful, evocative piece of music that encapsulates the pain of torture without resorting to actually cutting off someone's flesh and recording the resulting screams.

I've not heard the album- just read reviews. Negoba says there's actually an Oriental fellow who screams in agony for 15 minutes.
