On PA, I now have an ad that says vote for Josh Mandel.  On MMA, I now have an ad that says Josh Mandel is a politician that we can't trust.  I'm confused.  Josh Mandel is running for Senator in Ohio, and I can't cross state lines to vote for him anyways.  Or maybe vote against him.

I guess you have to ask yourself the tough question - what do you like better, prog or metal?

By the way, I apologize for bringing up a tangentially political topic here.  But honestly, my anger is not politically motivated, I just think it's extremely arrogant to close down a whole city just so you can spend 45 minutes raising money for yourself.    It's the same feel I'd get if it were Donald Trump.  Which it probably will be, next week, for all I know.

I have just lost 16GB of music in my Ipod... There were tracks there that were more rare and obscure than templarīs pants. How I hate Itunes!

Oh no! Ouch
No backup copies, I guess?
I've never really had a problem with iTunes, but with any system there are going to be risks - I figure I'm one lightning storm away from losing my whole computer.

Sorry to hear that though.

Don't you have the tracks saved on your computer?  I don't know how to save tracks to my iPod without them being saved on my computer.

Thx for the consternation. I have part of the backup; some stuff are lost in a time/space vortex of my old PC

Ahh.  That makes sense.  I once tried to synch my iPod on my work laptop and it said that it would delete all of the items on the iPod in order to reformat it for use with the new laptop.  Never tried that again.

Yes, I ask myself why Steve Jobs hired the devil to design ITunes.

I hope it at least gave you the option to say "NO".  Or even "WTF NO".

I think I tried that too.  I never go anywhere without my iPod (except sometimes the shower), so if I were to lose that, I'd have to listen to one thing at a time again.  WHAT WOULD I DO?

I suppose that it is a feature that was needed to prevent the iPod from being used as a flashdrive to easily share music with others, but it really does suck in a situation where you are moving from computer to computer.

I am pretty certain that I did choose the "WTF NO" option.

I got a new computer a couple of years ago.  The old one was still working (barely), so I hooked the 2 computers up and moved EVERYTHING from one to the other.  It was able to do it automatically, but it still took over 2 days, without giving me any inkling of how far along it was.  I'm glad I stayed patient and let it finish, because I had a buttload of music on there and it would be all gone now if I hadn't done that transfer.
