Hi Alan.
Do you know any laid back electronic music i may like? I'm not sure if i'll like minimalist efforts, just more melancholic.

You could try Bad Vibes by Shlohmo
Depending on what you mean by laid back, you might love Nujabes.

I'm am ever so rarely in a power metal mood. Sometimes, you just want a bit of cheese in your life. My poison of choice are Rhapsody of Fire or, more often, their guitarists solo projects, which are actually better.
