I don't think so Chris. I get lots of stick at home as I flick through the 3,784,592 channels available on Virgin but always end up watching QI repeats. Or QI XL.
It's either that or a program about horrific injuries ("101 strange things removed from a human body"). ![Dead Dead](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley11.gif)

It's all a big change from Roger Waters in 1979 bemnoaning "15 channels of ![](smileys/smiley35.gif) on my TV to choose from"

I'm with The Boss, but he needs to update his song a bit -
"Well now home entertainment was my baby's wish So I hopped into town for a satellite dish I tied it to the top of my Japanese car I came home and I pointed it out into the stars A message came back from the great beyond There's fifty-seven channels and nothin' on"

incident of the day: after spotting a large redtail hawk circling over the pine tree in our backyard, I hear a *thump* and see the carcass of a fat, freshly decapitated pigeon. I proceed to get several paper bags to dispose of the poor thing (I know pigeons are good eating but I think I'll pass) and when I return not 10 seconds later, the pigeon is gone with no trace, not even a feather on the ground.

We had a similar incident in our garden a couple of years ago - glanced out of our back window & it looked like it was snowing feathers; looked in the garden & a sparrowhawk had taken out a huge pigeon & was happily plucking its remains in the garden.
Our cats contented themselves with watching from an upstairs window.

yes our tabby was curious but mostly stays away from hawks, he's keen to chase the neighborhood skunks (though he got sprayed last year ![Dead Dead](smileys/smiley11.gif) )

Our cats are very wary of the two buzzards that share their hunting ground in the fields that back on to our garden - and quite rightly so as two of our cats are small enough to look like lunch.

Ferrari or Lambo?
Our "new" car (the hire car which took so long to get to temorarily replace our car whilst being repaired) finally arrived last Wednesday and the engine blew this morning when my wife started it up. Back to the drawing board...

Decided to pass on a Ferrari as there is not much room for gardening tools, black bags of rubbish, breakdown tools, triangles, tow rope, jump leads, blankets, work jacket, porn mags, old paint tins, boxes that might come in handy, discarded first aid and health and safety folders, and decided on an Omega Estate....much more practical for the shedder...
...and it's green ![Wink Wink](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif)

My clapped out Peugeot 206 needs its handbrake sorting out - yet another in an ever increasing list of minor repairs that the piece of ![Censored Censored](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley35.gif) has needed since about 30 seconds after the warranty ran out. Steve, I for one am jealous of that snazzy green Omega estate!

Our C-Max is a good all rounder - plenty of room for everything you need + all that stuff you don't but may come in handy - capacious boot (which if you can be arsed turns cavernous if you take the rear seats out); Also, it's never really caught on, so they're pretty cheap 2nd hand - stupid really, as they're effectively just a fat Ford Focus, so have all the Focus's grip in the wet, great brakes & suspension & (apparently, according ot one of our more petrol minded friends) one of the best chassis on the market...
...still won't clean itself though!

Or you could go for FRED-1 (although Bernard Cribbins might have used that one already).

In case you don't see my post in the Peter Gabriel thread, he is apparently on The One Show at 7pm tonight. Presumably the new album will be the main topic of conversation, unless he's also had an affair with Wayne Bridge's ex.
