As I'm playing along with my Ricky bass, I am spinning some Sade (Diamond Life)   - of course, this stuff is somewhat straight-forward, though I do wish I could play like Dick Lovgren (Meshuggah - heavy and complex, yet subtle and Jazz-Orientd in his orientation ...............

I don't enjoy playing over something with the bass as much as with the guitar, but I've been using it a lot to come up with my own ideas. I read that some of the most complex Genesis instrumentals were created from Rutherford's bass lines Smile
