Winamp plays most types of file, but I do not like the layout. Windows Media Player is well laid out, but there are files it will not play. Although I have used Media Monkey for some time and it will convert files, I still find it a bit confusing and itunes is not intuitive to me. So, I'll give this a try.

Primarily MOC or cmus (depending on what I can get to build on whatever Unixy system I'm using).  Foobar on Winders!

MOC is great for SSHing into a computer in another room of the house and startling the occupants with some suitably obnoxious 80s pop.

Not only that but I see the cassette there had a counter.  Note also the vu meter...

I graduated to a used Dual turn table that was in a wood box.  My cassette deck was a DBX unit (went through two).  My receiver had a long life and survived a house fire (the Dual did not fortunately the LPs were at my college apartment), I think it was a Marantz or Technics .  Don't remember the speaker model but they were big and heavy.  None of that bass cube nonsense.

The turntable in my pic had 4 speeds.  I think mine may have had 3.  It could play 33-1/3, 45, and 78.  What in the hell is the fourth speed on that thing?
