Actually I can surely say that my love for Greg's voice... had nothing to do with his looks.  I think he has the voice of an angel... the only voice thats ever made me quiver just from the sound of it.

And E-boy... geddy had the voice from hell... not even in the same league.

Greg was a master at the acoustic guitar.. there's no debating that... and his bass work was no slouch either.. he wasn't the showoff that Squire or Lee were, but then if he was, ELP would of been overwith from the beginning as Keith wouldn't of lived with that.  But if you listen to Greg's bass work on ITCOTCK, he could play a master bass.. as well as sing a perfect tone... and if you've ever seen the CalJam tape, you know he can do all that and not choke on all the gum at the same time...

THIS IS ELP

Geddy Lee was a consumate bass player, indeed better than lake, his singing is an aquired taste, I suppose....

I happen to think that Lee's voice is perfect for the music of Rush (Early stuff) I have yet to sample the newer Rush.

Quote Compared to other music released in 1994... that album was genius.

Hahahaha! I've got some bad news for ya, L-grrl. Arsnova's Fear and Anxiety came out in '94 - don't even think of suggesting In The Toilet Seat was better!!!!

ELP should've just hung it up for good after Black Moon. The guys are obviously getting more done apart than together, anyway.

You're right - Ged's in a league of his own.

And how are Squire and Lee "showoffs"? In their respective bands, they're perfect. I'm not sure if I agree that ELP would've been finished if Greg played a conveyorload of lead bass riffs - ever think he just didn't feel like it? He's more of a groove-conscious bass player, anyway.

Oh.. Squire was a bit of a showoff... look at that suit! (Look at Steve Howe's face)..

Greg was just trying to keep the knives from flying near his side of the stage....

You're delusional!

Quote Squire was a bit of a showoff... look at that suit!

Cut him some slack...he was reigning backgammon champ in the UK from '75-'78!
