Nope. I'm not getting this Amorphis cover either, yet I don't find it pretentious. As for the Deep Purple cover, photographic technics were NOT the same in the past. It is quite well made for a 70s one. It is very impressive. I guess were are -not literally- living in different worlds haha. |

^ i agree with that Amorphis. Blah
While the Deep Purple one isn't horrible, it's the color choices which make it rather ineffective. They should've used various shades of purple!

^^ I like it. It strikes visually and not in a bad way.

For a prog album cover though? It would make a better industrial ambient album cover.

Haha siLLy puPPy why don't you create a poll of your worst album cover choices and ask which people like most? For me still the Echolyn cover stands out as really good, most others I agree are unattractive if not abysmal.

I've always quite liked this cover. I can't give any particular reason for it. I don't think it's an outstanding cover; it just has an agreeable effect on me.

Great idea! I'm surprised others like some of the ones i thing are hideous! It does seem that according to everyone's reactions so far that the Brainstorm album would win the Worst Album Cover award at PA :D

Yeah, Can's covers aren't spectacular either but i don't find any of them horrible enough to post here. OK, the Cargo cover isn't horrible but it seems wrong for a heavy prog cover. Call me finnicky :D

as to Can's album covers being bad: I think the cover of "Unlimited Edition" is brilliant |
