I produce something like 6 albums per year and I don't work with music and don't have a regular band to help, or label, or decent studio. And I promise Black Comedy Theater is the best album of the year (selling just a few copies here and there). If this guy is goin to release it in physical form, and does have a fanbase to buy all of these, it's just a question of luck in life. He is great, Mars Volta is brilliant, but there are better musicians (I know personally a handful of them) releasing tons of albums and nobody gives a sh*t.

i've released like 30 albums worth of ozark soundscape and i'm proud of 6 of them
i've considered changing my band name to distance my current work from 13 year old me's work but i think the albums i'm making now still has a similar spirit/conceptual continuity to my older works even if the music is very different. same evolutionary path.
