Indeed, it's awesome!!! Though my favorite is 'Dominance and Submission' and 'Cities on Flame', also the cover version of Roadhouse Blues is done superb!
Pitty it was quite expensive, 45 bucks! But then, there was also Spartacus at 55$!! hahaha, don't worry, the 45$ were worth itWink

The funny thing is, while I always loved the guitar solo on ETL to Veteran, I always thought that it should have been a keyboard solo instead...for some reason, I always thought that would have better fit the subject matter of the song.  Either way though, a great album.  My fav of the BOC live offerings.  Congrats Pablo for discovering that gem.

Currently spinning - Sabbath, Tyr.

Thanks, it's also my first BOC album!! Embarrassed

BTW: I like quite a lot Tyr from BS, one of the few 'true' Metal albums, I like...

Ah, I envy you.  You still have so much great BOC left to discover.  Clap

Tyr is an underrated Sabbath album, IMO.  If you like that one...there are many more.

The problem is, that I only find 2 BOC albums, one of them being ETL and the other being Raff's avatar. And they're damn pricey for a single album. Anyways, if I find any of their first 3, which Raff highly recomended me, for that price, I'll still buy themTongue

Many more? from other bands? Or from Sabbath? I have heard The Eternal Idol and Headless Cross, 2 good albums, but Tyr has the edge for me.

The first three BOC are definitely great, especially Secret Treaties.  Since you're not a huge metal fan, I won't recommend my fave BOC album, Imaginos...but if you get yourself in a metal mood, it's definitely a great album.  Also, Raff's avatar is a great album too.  As is Cultosaurus Erectus.  That's plenty to start you off.

Ah, I was speaking about from Sabbath.  Of the three you mentioned, Tyr is also my fav.  In fact, the Martin-era Sabbath seemed to get better and better with each album, culminating in that version's masterpiece Cross Purposes.  Sadly, after that they took a nosedive and released Forbidden.  But if you don't have Cross Purposes, get it.  Have you heard any of the earlier Sabbath?

Ah, Cross Purposes, need to check that one out. And yes, I have checked early Sabbath, awesome band, my fave album by them, is the raw and masterful, debut. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is a close second.

About Imaginos, I read some reviews of it today, and it was very well praised, must listen to the sample from here still.

I am waiting for my copy of Imaginos to be delivered from Amazon by mid-week... Expect a glowing review! I have already heard MP3s of the album, and loved it - as a matter of fact, I think it's their most progressive effort, and I'm sure Pablo would love itSmile!

I agree that it's their most progressive effort.  It's also one of my most listened to albums of all time.  Still get chills from Magna of Illusion and Blue Oyster Cult.  And have to play air guitar and vocals to Frankenstein.  Embarrassed  Only one downside to the album for me.  I prefer the version of Astronomy on Secret Treaties.
