The grey one is Merrill ............ sheesh do you guys know nothing about the Osmonds??? (ha ha ha) It was all of them all 7 of them and it was brilliant! They opened with Crazy Horses (fab opening!) and later in the set even included a medley from "The Plan" a commercial flop of an album, but out and out prog through and through........ infact it was "The Plan" that got my sister into prog, so I guess my prog journey started with The Osmonds! HA!

I reckon there might be a smidge of grecian 2000 going on with some of the boys these days, Merrill looks like Kenny Rogers now! although Wayne is also a true grey too!

( I don't want to sound catty.................but......... I think the lovely Marie may have had some work done.... and not just on her grey roots!)

Right now I shall go back and check on Jim's comments in my absence!
Wink
The Osmonds made a prog album??? Get them in the Archives now!!!

I saw Marie on Jonathan Ross, considering she must be at least 67 she looked pretty good.

I did a quick calculation.  At this posting rate, Alan will reach James' post count in 17.2 years.  Wink

When you say "some people", you actually mean one particular person....

I always say quality not quantity. Each of my 6000 posts have been like minature Shakespeare plays, beautifully written and constructed more perfectly than a Kate Bush CD.

OK, about 5900 have been sh*te.

well, I can't answer for Vicky, (I'm sure she'll set you straight in her own sweet way I'm no "Bag-Lady" ....... cos I am in fact a "Norfolk Broad"

You'll be glad to know Vicky did indeed set me straight...

...you know what I mean! Stop sniggering at the back

So to a Norfolk Broad from a Potters Bar-barian a fond welcome back to the Grey Room

But as for the world's favorite morons Mormons:

50th Anniversary?!?

Definitely more than a touch of the Grecian 2000 going on there...

I did not steal Donny's cap... I have two of them and one my mother bought and the other a friend of mine gave me.  So it's either my mother who stole it or my friend.

I saw The Osmonds on Jonathan "I'm paid more than Graham Norton" Woss and well. they seem quite down to earth but I have to say, I preferred Neil Diamond.

Eliminating's a bit harsh Jared. Maybe a bit of judicious pruning here and there.

She was only a fishmonger's daughter but she knew how to filletConfused

I'm not dead, just been staging a nine day steam gala on the GWSR; culminating in a triple fly past by the battle of britain memorial flight (friends in high places) which cost us £20 to stage.

It's good to be back.  Keep up the pruning.

Hi Neil

That must have sounded superb - 6 Merlin engines growling over rural Gloucestershire

By the way - did we pick the right week to go on the boat, or what...?

Gloater!

Neil, that's a superb picture, I would have come along to that if I had not been drowning in mud and being battered by teenage angst!  I love old WWII planes, "Saving Private Ryan" was shot really close to where I worked, it was something else to have all those planes buzzing about, a bit spooky if I'm honest though! MY Dad was a pilot during the war, he flew mozzies..... best ickle planes in the world! Tongue

A lot of it was filmed just down the road from us in Hatfield too - I found out the other day in the scene with them walking through a village in the pouring rain you can apparently see the Tesco's clock tower - note to self, must watch (yet) again...
