Somewhat gothier and punkier than the other E&tBM album I've heard. (Ocean Rain) The rather disorienting, almost psychedelic guitar playing and rather stark technological production gives it a similar futuristic atmosphere as I get from Joy Division and Killing Joke, actually. |

As I maintain, this sounds like a very different band than the one that did Heaven Up Here. The string arrangements and orchestration in general kinda sound kitschy when added to a new wave context, but I kind of like the "baroque pop for artschool goth kids" vibe it creates. |
