From what I can tell, somebody is putting dents into an Australian with a Jai Alai mallet.
Jai Alai doesn't use mallets you silly boy.
Yeah I know, but I had to work the Mal in there somehow, and I don't actually know what they call the contraptions that they catch and throw the ball with.
I think the official term is "doohickey".

Cesta - The wicker backet custom made and fitted to the individual player. Used to catch and throw the ball at high velocity.

Not to be confused with the "Whatchamacallit", which is in fact a candy bar.

I think "cesta" means "basket" in Spanish too.  Figures - Jai Alai is big in Miami (where I grew up) and there are a few Spanish speaking people who live there.

I've never actually seen or participated in Jai Alai.  I am only familiar with it due to a) crossword puzzles and b) visits to Florida where there were numerous road signs directing drivers to the nearest Jai Alai arenas.

Yah, but on the other hand they're the albums that you want to put on again straight away, and that's always sweet.

I heard it at work, about 20 years ago, when i was at the University of Ottawa, One of the universities administrative people, Caroline Midgely, came to work one day just brimming with that news about Neil Peart. Don't know where she picked it up, though

This man can write lyrics that seem innocuous but cut to the heart of the soul.
