very true - then just as you think it's all over, they present you with a bill

It's like going to one of those clubs where you can pay to have pain inflicted upon your person, but without the comfort of a safe-word!

...I'm told such places exist...

I'm off to the fang dragger myself at 8.30 tomorrow morning. At least the day is unlikely to get much worse after that.

That's one way of looking at it I suppose. Best to get it out of the way early.

You can apply the same logic to facing the firing squad and be almost definitely right.

Only with a firing squad, at least it's quick - with a dementor/dentist first they hit you with needles in your mouth, then make you wait in reception, stewing all the while, then call you back & go in with the kind of equipment Torquemada would have wet his cassock for

I think the old joke had it right - lie down, grab him by the family vegetables & say "we're not going to hurt each other, are we?"

You gotta laugh at this.

A guy from N-Dubz (apparently some sort of new beat combo) sends threatening texts to a woman who called the band "losers" and "repulsive" and by way of apology, their management offer her free tickets to one of their concerts. Bet she was pleased.

Quote Last November, Dappy (for it was he - editor)joined Schools Secretary Ed Balls to launch a Government campaign against "cyber-bullying" over mobile phones and the internet

Y'know - I don't think I even need to comment

[edit]

Dappy, recently:

No - no matter how much I really, really, really want to, it's probably best that I don't pass any comment...

...at all.

Nope - I'm sure he's a perfectly intelligent, articulate young man:

...despite his apparent early onset arthritis, the pain from which evidently causes lapses into behaviour more usually expected form a complete and utter

I saw him on Buzzcocks once - he is exactly as you'd imagine him to be from his photo. And he speaks in Jamaican-type "street" language, if that's the right description.

And he wears hats that make him look a right tw*t.

Ooh, he might Google us and start sending threatening posts.

I remember seeing a clip of Steel Pulse on their tour bus in the 70s talking in thick brummie accents until they realised the camera was switched on. LOL
What?

No, I suspect he's not a real Jamaican.

Dappy is a very appropriate name though.

Don't get that with Tony Iommi - lived/lives(?) in Los Angeles for 20/30 years, yet still sounds like a Brummie

Amazing - he appears to be an even bigger Censored than Jay 'the Censored in the hat' Kay, which takes some doing. And to be fair, some of Jamiroquai's early stuff isn't too bad.
