I was in Starbucks last night and the girl who took our order was really cute. She made a comment about my Mars Volta hoodie too (and was kind of flirting with me ), so I left a napkin with my number on it and said "Let's talk music sometime?". She has yet to text or call me back yet. I'm not expecting her to but it would be nice if she does. Edited by horsewithteeth11 - January 29 2011 at 16:26 |

Why didn't you just give it to her rather than leave it on a napkin?

Because of the very long line of customers and I didn't have 15-20 minutes to wait at the time. It would have seemed less creeper-ish too but oh well. |

My one female friend could have done that, but she's gay so it would have had an entirely different meaning to it. And yes, she agreed she was very cute. You perverts. Edited by horsewithteeth11 - January 29 2011 at 16:55 |

Aaah, Coyote is such a great album. I used to think of it as a 3,5 star album for half a year, but the last month I've been enjoying it so much I would probably even say it's better than Choirs.

Pat, I am in a state of despair. We had a multiple choice quiz in physics Wed that had no numbers on it. It was all conceptual stuff about motion, and I thought it was incredibly easy. For example, one of the questions was "When you throw a ball downward in ideal conditions are velocity/acceleration constant?" with multiple choice answers corresponding to each possibility. She returned them on Friday, and when I was arguing with her that I had in fact turned in the quiz on Wed so she must have misplaced it, I saw the gradebook. The most common grade was 5/10, and almost everybody was in the 3-7 range. Besides my unknown grade, there was one 10 and one 9. I just.....
Also, I am a decade late on this, but I was reading about cryptography at the library, and I did not realize that the government are fascists. As someone who wasn't paying attention until after 2000, it's unbelievable to me that for decades the government thought it was possible to control access to cryptography.

Someone else got a 10, my grade is unknown because she couldn't find the quiz in time. I will be so f**king pissed if she lost it, it took me 12 hours to get home that day at the very least that shouldn't be wasted! I understand maybe getting confused and getting one or two wrong, but 5?
I actually ended up just getting the book from the library, it's pretty middlebrow but whatever. Of course, they were right in the sense that the US government would really like to be able to decrypt Julian Assange's insurance file, but you can't stop technology. Windows didn't have built in encryption until 2000! |

Well if she lost your quiz, it might not be in the gradebook. Book looks cool. Could be very good if written right.
