The album is now said to be not due for official release until January 2024, and seems to have disappeared from all the sites that listed it a few days ago - I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it to reappear either. Both Deezer and Spotify had apparently also filed it along with the Derek Dick 'Fish' albums, so I reckon he must have had a few words lol! It seems the only album actually still in existence by the band (released back in December 2016 when they were still known as 'Fase') is 'The Lamp Of Darkness', which is on Apple Music: https://music.apple.com/us/album/the-lamp-of-darkness/1450323807, and sounds absolutely dreadful from the brief samples I listened to (the whole album was put on Spotify in January 2019, but it ain't there now lol!) One track from the intended album 'Hollow Earth' (called 'Asthenia: Rebirth'), which also sounds dreadful to my ears, is still available to listen to on Soundcloud under the band name 'Fish', together with a full band biography, but I wouldn't be surprised if that track disappears over the next day or so too, and maybe even the whole page. Here is the full biography for the record, just in case it all disappears very soon! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FISH, formerly known as Fase, is an American-Canadian studio prog rock band from Oberlin, OH. Formed in 2015, the band currently consists of guitarist Doug Hogg, drummer Brian Newbury, guitarist Noel Ward and bassist Aiden Beckman. FISH formed by founding members Cannon Byron-Dixon and Doug Hogg during their sophomore year of high school. They were both members of the band Military of Fools and started making music by themselves after its disbandment. Together, they wrote and recorded their debut album "The Lamp of Darkness" in two months, releasing it on December 16, 2016, to mixed/negative reviews from peers who called it cheap. They took a short break to focus on their studies and returned to the studio in 2018 to record their self-titled sophomore album, which was released on February 20, 2019. Cannon left the band shortly after due to personal reasons and was replaced by Brian Newbury. Doug and Brian worked on their first EP "The Journey", releasing it in June of that same year. They began writing for their third studio album but had to halt production due to the 2020 pandemic. The four songs they finished were released as the "Falling into Infinity" EP. Shortly after the quarantine was lifted, they began working on their official third album titled "On the Breath of Poseidon…", but it and their previous efforts, bar "The Lamp of Darkness", were shelved due to Cannon returning to the band. Doug and Cannon started rewriting their debut album, making it into the sound they wanted it to be. By 2021, they had completed two songs, "A Wonderful Day" and "Xylophone Boy", before communications stopped between the pair. After a year of waiting, Doug brought back Brian and was later in 2023 by guitarist Noel Ward and Aiden Beckman. After consideration, the name was changed to FISH, short for Fluorescence in Situ Hybridization. In May 2023, they began writing for their debut album temporarily titled "Flood Lungs". By August 2023, they had commenced the writing portion and would begin recording in September-November; mixing and mastering would be done by Monolithic Architex in December. The title was changed to "Hollow Earth", releasing on January 5, 2024. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On the band's facebook, they talk about a second album 'Astral Demons' (Feb 2019), but only 25 copies were pressed, and it seems to have since disappeared into the mist. A third album 'The Unchartered Sea' was due to be released on June 7, 2019, and on 8th March 2019 they posted that they had 8 albums planned for release over the course of the next three years! Then in April 2019 we had: "Decided to shelve our upcoming albums and restart", followed in July 2019 by: "Official artwork for our third album Nearly Human", which was then renamed 'Erosion: ...And The Nothing Begins In Nowhere' with different artwork 12 days later. Fast forward to 25th May 2022, and we have: "Third album 'Coming Home' out December 16, 2022", and a day later: "Abandon All Ships out September 2nd", with a single from it apparently available on Soundcloud. Finally, on 30th May this year: "Been 7 years since our last album. Think it’s time for another one #2024". Like I said at the beginning - I wouldn't hold my breath! Edit: Apparently the album seems to have been a wholly instrumental affair, and if that track on Soundcloud is anything to go by, it won't be missed (by me at least) if it doesn't resurface again in January 2024.

There are some typos over there, like «amanever» (which isn't a word) for instance. Also, in Spanish Titles You Generally Don't Capitalize Every Word Like in English. Only Names and Specific Pronouns et al. Here's the correct version of the tracklist. Just copy and paste it. 1. Prólogo El Profeta (8:26) 2. Candombe samba (4:52) 3. Barco de los sueños (2:27) 4. Tema central El Profeta (2:06) 5. El momento de partir (1:46) 6. Amanecer en Orphalese (2:40) 7. Háblanos del matrimonio (5:28) 8. Háblanos del dar (3:09) 9. Háblanos del amor (3:45) 10. https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=82461 Not studio, sorry. Unloading our equipment into Abbey Road - Studio 2 was like some untouchable dream you had as a child but were now part of. With the giants of music breathing down our necks and all those classic songs still ghosting in the walls, we set the band up together with a string
quartet to record a live performance. There was no audience, barring the on-site engineers, film crew and some onlookers from York St John University. We all knew this was a once in a lifetime opportunity. This was just us performing live - a group of musicians performing as one when it really mattered, in that incredible cathedral of music history, Abbey Road - Studio 2.” Edited by Dark Ness - October 14 2023 at 12:19 |

Minor issue (& my own mistake): I'd appreciate it if a line of the releases information that I've missed out could be added in at the bottom: 'Recorded at The Backstage Theatre, Purfleet on 27th October 2017' Thanks, and sorry!

^ I feel the chronological order is better.
1) Recording date 2) First release date 3) Reissue date(s)

I added all the albums that had recording location and date information in the same way, so do you want to shift that particular line to the top of the releases info section of those too, so that the other albums match the 'Free' album? Edit: Live albums and the EP too, not just studio albums - in fact everything except the singles 'Slightly Burnt Toast', 'Air' and 'Burnt Toast'.

That makes sense. My own logic was that the info relating to the actual releases was more important than the date and location that the music was recorded at, so whenever this extra info is available I just shove it in at the bottom lol!

^ All albums updated.
Everyone might have a different view on this, and most people might not even care, but IMO the chronological order seems better in the Releases information. I always list the release dates at the bottom, and all additional info at the top. ... like this: https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=82487

^ Yes I agree, most people wouldn't care about this since it's not really essential to include the date and location of the recording of a release anyway, and with so many releases existing on this site it would be virtually impossible to have a consistent standard for this information right across the board. The only reason that I posted here that I had accidentally omitted that line about where and when the 'Free' album was recorded is that the band had been cleared a whole year ago but hadn't yet been added (due to lack of biographical information), so I contacted them, and one of their members took a lot of trouble to prepare a document for me over the weekend listing virtually everything they'd ever done - gigs, music releases, personnel changes etc. I felt that after she'd spent so much time preparing all this information for me it would be totally wrong of me to then go and miss some of it out!
As long as all their releases now follow the same format for listing the releases information then we're good to go. That example you posted above of the 'Magnifique Eccentrique' EP, where the band provided very detailed release information certainly reads well now, so thanks for tidying all this up for me. |

Hello, I am Carmine Capasso, guitarist for The Trip.
