oh yeah...  if only the craft beer revolution had happened in the mid 90's when I was trying to drink myself into oblivion.  Even then I couldn't drink what passed for beer here in the states so I followed my power-drinking alcholic mentor/best friend's lead and heading straight into the loving arms of Jack Daniels.

Looks good Greg... if it gets your thumbs up I'll keep an eye out for it. This stuff from Maryland isn't bad..  I do think the Porter that the local Alexandria Va. brewer (Port City) does is better than this but this one isn't bad.

looks lethal... LOL

bring a bottle of that David when we finally meet and you'll see that there was truth in my tales of wanton destruction, cross dressing, pool table dancing, and overall general debauchery.

^ All of those sound good to me.  I grew up in San Francisco, those things are a tiptoe through the tulips.

I remember when people thought drinking Heineken was cool. ;) I went to a great, pub a while ago with an amazing selection of draught craft beers with an old friend, and was a bit embarrassed when he ordered a Molson Canadian. I am a bit of a beer snob. Right now I'm drinking a cheap one though which I bought recently in Washington state from Costo -- a Kirkland Brown Ale, good for the price. The Whistler beer I drank earlier cost me almost 5 dollars for the bottle, but it is a good award winning craft beer.

I want to make craft root beers and ginger ales -- had an amazing root beer in Washington.

If or when you're in my neck of the woods, I'll treat you to some choice BC brews. What I sadly lack in my immediate vicinity is good pubs/ bars, but no worries, we'll go a little farther afield and Man with Hat will be our designated driver (or we'll corrupt him by adding vodka to his cranberry juice). We'll get a redhead for you, an Oriental beauty plus a redhead for me, and a banana for Man With Hat.

Is that a Heineken in Keith Emerson's pants, or is he just glad to see you?

Life's a bit short to worry overmuch what people think, or to be ashamed of what you find funny, but at the same time one should be sensitive to and considerate of others. *Fears Micky will now call me a wuss*

I've actually been on a bit of a Rik Mayall kick recently (mostly for the New Statesman), so re-watched the Blackadder episode where Lord Flashheart does the "is that a canoe in my pants" line, which put it in mind.

Back on topicish, I don't eat at the computer, so I'm not having it right now, but I will be having pulled pork and coleslaw in a bun shortly.   My wife and kids are out, so I get to enjoy a simple meal on my own. And I will be having it with a glass of Shiraz, though I'm having too much alcohol today.

Love a good pulled pork w/ slaw sandie.   You see them more outside the South than you used to but the quality is off & on.

Don't worry Barbu, Love Beach is a semi-cool album. I dig much of it.
As for food - just some CC's (corn chips) Sour Cream and Chilli Pepper flavour. And a Vodka/Pepsi Max (yes, it works). All the while Meshuggah's Contradictions Collapse at immensely high volume
