^ I guess my teammate Julien (who is always very accurate with additions) explains why he decided to add this album.

This is NOT a single out of the album, it doesn't even have a different cover as an official single has! and all the release info is for sure unnecessary, we post usually release info cover artist if we have, Label, Format & release date

Looks like it has to be deleted, because such single doesn't exist (no matter is the cover right or wrong).

EDIT: Asked Greg to delete it.

Actually there are no restrictions to releases info.
Authors, producers etc in my opinion are not less important than cover designers (artists).

Sorry about the mess regarding the Camel album; I would have never considered adding it to the archive if it hadn't been uploaded to the official Bandcamp page of one the of the band members (although I'll admit that Mr. Sinclair seems to be scraping the bottom of the barrel with what he puts on that page lately...). NotAProghead mentioned the King Crimson Collector's Club albums which are on the site despite many of them originating as bootlegs (IIRC?), and the same can be said for Frank Zappa's Beat The Boots albums. Sound quality also isn't really relevant, I think; again, some of the early King Crimson live albums are an audiophile's worst nightmare. On reconsideration however, I do think a fair objection can be raised against this particular album's inclusion, namely that it wasn't "released" by the band itself but by a single ex-member who now presumably reaps all profits that are to be had from it while the actual band in its current form still sees nothing of it, which is still preferable over none of the musicians earning anything but still isn't ideal.
I didn't put that much thought into adding the album when I did; these are just my two quid Wink at this moment. I won't be offended if it gets removed, so do what you wish; you two have more authority than me as far as I'm concerned!

I'd suggest to let it live, but move it to Fan/Club (hope we can do it without using the Admin panel).
Agreed?

^ I agree. So I guess it has not already (and will not) be deleted by Greg?

And I hope the Admin panel will be back soon. Angry
Anyway, I think this change can be made via the album page. Just be careful about special characters...

^ Thanks, Julien, I moved the album to Fan Club, fortunately no special characters.
I informed Greg, he says he'll "leave it unless told otherwise". Now he also can't access the Admin panel. Smile

Cover: Joey Tessier
Label: InsideOut Music
Formats: Vinyl, CD, Digital

- Hasse Fröberg / vocals
- Roine Stolt / vocals, guitars, keyboards, percussion
- Michael Stolt / bass, vocals, keyboards (5), guitar (5)
- Mirko Demaio / drums, percussion, keyboard (12)

With:
- Hasse Bruniusson / percussion (3)
- Lalle Larsson / synthesizers (4,9)
- Jannica Lund / backing vocal (1,2,3,5,7,11,13)
- Marjana Semkina / vocal (12)
- Jörgen Sälde / Nylon guitar (6)

I can't find any info about Joey Tessier's art, no showreel, no album cover works, no work at all. So, maybe it is a lie and it's just Roine playing with Midjourney after all!

^ I don't think it's a lie. Roine said in interviews that Joey's dad was a big fan of the Flower Kings. Then he died (recently). Then Joey contacted Roine about it and offered to do the cover art. Or something like that

Maybe that's why you don't find any other art by him. It could be a one-shot deal.

Besides, what would be the point of lying about it?

UPDATE:
It isn't a lie indeed. But, Joey generated the artwork in Midjourney, then sent it to R. Stolt claiming as their own. The death story touched Stolt's emotions, and since he was gullible enough not to spot that obvious AI work, he ended up using it in the product and misattributed the AI piece to the deceased fan.CryAngry

^ "obvious AI work" ?

Is this really the case ? What is your source ?

And even if it's true, I don't see a problem if 1) the artwork is cool and 2) Joey gets credited for it.

Eugene, I wrote "unnecessary" can you imagine if someone will go now and give you so much info on each album cause they feel like it, it would become a bigger mess for you! just trying to prevent an eager new member creating extra work for "Errors Team"Wink

Mayer, I agree there should be some reasonable balance. It's hard to describe it in guidelines though.

With all the recent talk about bootlegs, it should be noted that Björk's Glastonbury - Live in England 2007 is unofficial and should be removed from the database:

^ Are you sure it's completely illegal?
Discogs claims it's unofficial (but this doesn't mean we have to delete everything marked as unofficial on Discogs), but the record label is described not as a pirate label but as "Argentinian company, distributor, label, etc..." Confused
