That reminds me, I need to make my haircut appointment.  I missed my last one a few weeks ago because of a Mike Keneally concert (really).  And now I'm all disheveled and stuff.

frankly that's one of the best parts about the army. Wish I'd done it sooner!

I've always liked long hair in concept, but in reality, it never worked for me. Mine was frizzy and messy looking, like i put my finger into an electrical socket.
Haven't had hair long for decades now, but in my youth it was my trademark!

Apparently rum makes sinus infections stop bothering me.
Used to get severe sinus infections, almost had to be operated on once, now i use hand sanitiser always, and no colds, flus, sinus infections

I get bad sinus infections every time i get a cold :\ When you live at home and have four siblings in school it's hard to avoid them, I'm surprised I lasted this long into the school year.
I still encourage you to use sanitiser-keep a container in your shirt pocket, even at home, and use it before you put your fingers in your mouth, like before eating. It will help you, even if your environment condones the spread of colds.

I need a haircut too, but I might keep it growing for the playoffs.  Stupid fan superstition. LOL

I know what you mean by frizzy and messy looking.  My hair always seems to grow horizontally instead of vertically.  I've got that electrical socket thing going too.

I love pretty much all the Soft Machine albums except for Land of Cockayne.

Yeah I never got into the first two that well, too quirky for me.  Love the rest though.  Currently listening to British Tour '75.

One of the best archival Soft Machine releases I've heard dates from the "Six" period, their (televised) performance at the NDR Jazz Festival.  It's both a CD and a DVD,and it's fantastic.  It's mostly the same songs as the live material on "Six".  But there are a couple of great guest performers, including a guitar player (the leader of the band Isotope... forgot his name).

Haven't listened to Soft Machine much, but Third and Six are my favourites from the ones I've heard.
