That's cruel and unusual punishment, that is!

Mind you - Did it stop the war, though? If Mrs G W Bush took the 'Greek Option', not only would it stop the war in the middle east, it would also stop the half-wit breeding

Harrumph!

I'm a Van der Graaf Generator fanboy.
Melissia is a Magma fangirl.

There's a huge difference there!

I do like Magma a lot but I currently prefer Koenjihyakkei.

Anyhow, is that a lawnmower coming your way, Dean? Shocked
That's all very well James, but how do you ask for their CDs in HMV?

Talking of mowers, I've always wanted one of those robot mowers, so I can just sit in my chair and watch it cut the grass on its own.

Firstly, I know how pronounce their name.

More importantly though, H.M.V, would never dream of selling anything by them!

And I have all their albums on CD anyhow... I'm just missing a DVD.

To be fair, HMV in Oxford Street usually has a few Koenjihyakkei and Ruins CDs in stock. It's probably the only branch that does, though,.

It certainly worked in the play. I once saw a badly dubbed adaptation from some European TV station which was basically Carry On Lysistrata with an 18 certificate*, which was probably more faithful to the spirit of the original than any highbrow interpretation in modern times.

*as opposed to the XXXX certificate, which is often seen in the windows of certain Soho emporia and which is used for 'adult' entertainment of extremely poor sound and picture quality only.

..and half a pint of warm lager for £10.
When people get lost in thought it's often because it's unfamiliar territory.

Alas, I do not get to Oxford Street that often.  In fact, I do not believe I have been in that branch.  One day though maybe!

I need some Ruins CDs. Big%20smile

More like £250 - with a trained gorilla to march you to the nearest cashpoint if you haven't got the cash available.

Mind you, Soho also has a negative side...

The Shed.  Hmmm.  Forgive me is this the place in this Forum where I am supposed to go to talk about the band Tool.  Seems appropriate that Tool might be in the Shed.

It seemed like there was noone around so I hope that you don't mind that I helped myself to a pint of that fine lager that was aging in the wood kegs in the corner.  I must say that the pictures on the wall and the drapes on the window don't seem to be appropriate for a location where one might expect to find a gathering of the Tool fan club.  I must have stumbled into the wrong wood building on the edge of the property.  I suppose that I should try the one with the crescent moon on the front door. Wink  Cheers.

Unfortunately this post was written with a thick Michigan accent, and thus not understandable by the Brits who comprise the majority of the Shed populace.

The lager was back in the dark corner behind the boxes with the spider webs.  Maybe it was left behind by the construction crew.  And gnats you say.  And here I thought the floating stuff was hops.  Well, that'll teach me to go and help myself to someone else's booze without asking first.

Erm...Sorry,that wasn't lager fermenting in the barrel.
It was for the sheeps wool that has yet to be 'treated'.

Bah. Or is it Baa? One would think that with this being an archiving site and all, that you guys would have a better labeling system in place.  How is one to know the difference between fermenting lager and sheep's wool treating solutions?  After all, I am from the US where it is said we wouldn't know a good beer or lager if it came up and bit us.  Which by the way I think that I was almost bit by one of those sheep on my way out.

Too right Jim. My advert offering 'English Lessons' got several hundred replies in the first week, five or six of them from actual language students...

What gave me away as a townie?  You must have overheard me saying "nice doggies" while trying to pet them.
