80s = generally the worst decade for music in the past five or six

There is some really good stuff though. Like Rush and King Crimson. And Fish-Marillion.
There was some great avant-garde stuff going on, mostly the Downtown Scene, but generally it's pretty bad. But I'm not a Pink Floyd fanboy anymore so I'm a little more objective. ;-)

That's good. Pink Floyd are good, but I used to like them alot more than I do now.

Univers Zéro, Art Zoyd and Shub-Niggurath made some cool albums too in the 1980s.

Univers Zero had good 80s ones, yeah. That's true.

Anyway kids, today I'm leaving the PMT for a while, a few months, but just gonna finish up some work for the team in the next 24 hours or so.
Other than coming back to check out the Post Rock/Post Metal/Math Rock and Tech/Extreme threads and posting up the occasional binge drinking night photos in the Rogues Gallery from time to time, I'm basically on leave from this site for a while to work on my solo project, as well as working towards making a better balance between social life and alone time in my life.

I laughed when I saw Shub-Niggurath in The Dunwich Horror. HP Lovecraft was good at names, but not much else. :(

Wow, Alex is really a n00b for not knowing Shub-Niggurath was from Lovecraft.

I've never read any Lovecraft and knew that. Wink

Edit:

Later Harry, do come back soon. Cry
