It's getting to be quite a peculiar feeling when your son's due date is three days away. A very unique mix of extreme anticipation spiced with a little terror.

Are you about to have a child?
I remember just before my daughter was born, I had the "I only have two days to live" feeling mixed in with the slightly giddy anticipation. I figured I wasn't going to ever "have a life" again. Turns out the opposite was true.

Yep, saturday's the due date and I have a feeling it won't go far beyond that. My "aagh, life is over now" terror is thankfully quite subdued and instead I have a ton of excitement.

Thank you sir!
We've had a relatively easy pregnancy so far, especially compared to a work buddy who had a daughter a week ago. They had all imaginable ailments and after the birth had to spend seven days at the hospital with their daughter tied up in tubes for four of them.

Oh yes, we're starting early. Our labour room soundtrack includes stuff from for example Yes, Kate Bush, maudlin of the Well, King Crimson, Sigur Rós, The Decemberists, Harmonium and so on. No Beatles there yet, but there's time for it when we get home...
