I made a post and deleted it, if that's what you mean. I didn't feel like beating a dead horse anymore.
Ah - the message about admin locked thread of whatever threw me off.
I'll still respond :D
In regards to "life"
I'm getting a top-rank scholarship for my area, i'm not in my school's jazz band, my grades are going better, and i'm getting great at drums.
Not bad.
I'm top 10 in my class, Class president, jazz band, drummer, in the work field, the technical director for the theater department, a student ambassador, spend way too much time here, and am applying to Pharmacy school in two weeks.

Also, I must confess that it's been forever since I talked with Rob! How is the Epignosian school teacher doing these days?
I'm making it, I'd say. Got ninth graders this year. Relearning jazz guitar to play like I did four years ago. How about you?
Good to hear!
Struggling to keep my wits about me in school, but not much else. I got kicked out of my major and am trying to figure out how to stay on my career path with a different education. I'm building an acoustic guitar right now, which is pretty sweet. Guitar playing is getting better every day.

How did you get kicked out?
Partially grades, and partially a stupid technicality.
At our school, in the engineering program, we start out as general engineering students and then apply to a specific school of study (mechanical, electrical, etc.). They said that it usually takes four semesters for students to get into a program. Because of some health issues I had a bad second semester and needed to retake some classes. Perfectly allowed within our school's tender. But it also meant that I needed an extra semester to boost my GPA before my grades would be good enough to apply.
So I'm in my fifth semester now. Got an email about two weeks before school started from my advisor, asking what my plans for the coming semester were. I was planning on boosting my grades this semester and then applying for a specific engineering field as well. He tells me that it's a college rule that if you haven't been accepted to an engineering program within four semesters, they mandate that you transfer out. Never heard this rule before in my life. Scoured every inch of the school's website and didn't find a single statement of a time constraint in applying, only that four semesters were recommended. I had met with my advisor last semester when he knew I was going into my fifth semester and hadn't applied, and he helped me work through what I would have to do if I wanted to apply in the fall. He didn't bring up this rule once.
So, I was forced to transfer out of engineering. I'm in Letters and Sciences right now hoping to go for a physics and math dual degree, and praying I can still find a post-grad engineering job, which isn't terribly far fetched. Now I just need to find out if the physics department has any bullsh*t rules like the engineering department's so I can apply next semester.

I have a new advisor in Letters and Science now, but they don't know anything about the engineering college. I would e-mail the dean but we currently don't have one. The former just left and we're looking for a new one.

Your actions are always a bit more radical than mine will ever be, Rob.
If I can get into physics, I'm pretty sure I can follow through with my original career goals. I've already had an engineering internship and have another one set up for this coming summer. If the program is gonna be that stickly about it then they can go f*ck themselves, I'll get it done myself.

I have never sued anyone and probably never will. But I guide my circumstances to not lead in the direction of litigation.
That said, if I feel I am wronged in academia, then I will seek remedy. Schools strive to save face, especially, in this strange world of the Internet, where reputations can be dashed upon a tweet like Icarus' hot body could be dashed upon the greedy waves.

I just feel like the path of least resistance is what I want to take at this point. I'm done fighting with my advisor, if this physics deal works out then I'll be no worse for wear. Maybe even better off; I'll have fewer business courses to take.
