Hi Guys, I don't believe that this album belongs to the the band on this page https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=77994

E&O Team: Right, admins will probably delete this entry soon. Thanks!

^ No, it doesn't belong to the 'Ricochet' on PA (who are from Hamburg) - it belongs to another German prog metal band called 'Ricochet' hailing from Bamberg, Germany - initially playing as a covers band, but 'Pieces Of Ricochet' was their debut album of original material.

It was, however, also their last album, since they posted this on their facebook page on 9th May 2022 (Google-translated from German):

"Hello dear friends of progressive rock music, we see that there are more and more access to our Facebook page. This makes us very happy and we would like to thank everyone who shows their interest in our music. Unfortunately we can't offer you anything new, our album was and is for us a "Once in a Lifetime project", which gave us a lot of work but also a lot of joy. So there won’t be another album from us.
Stay curious for the slightly different music away from the crowd and enjoy life".

Ricochet had been in existence since way back in 1991. The idea to move away from being a covers band and releasing a CD of self-composed music began in 2007, but it took them thirteen years to complete the project.

I guess the album needs deleting, unless this other 'Ricochet' from Bamberg is evaluated for inclusion here too. I'm not convinced they'd make it in Prog Metal though, based on the YouTube teaser for the album, and a quick listen to some full tracks. It's decent enough material I guess, but I think it veers a bit too far towards melodic metal to satisfy the blacksmiths.

Full album on Spotify for anyone interested: https://open.spotify.com/album/34Wp4zWQbDyt0OnIjp2QnE.

IMO (Brazil) shouldn't be there. Especially when it's the only band on PA with that name. I think what the submitter tried to imply is that they're not from Tibet. But, we don't see Elephants of Scotland labeled as ELEPHANTS OF SCOTLAND (USA)?

^ Read the bio. It says "INVISIBLE OPERA COMPANY OF TIBET is a code name created by Daevid Allen (Gong), which original idea is, as he says, 'an international ideological/spiritual/aesthetic communications network for artists..." and this is "The Brazilian branch", so I think it's ok to indicate the country within the band's name.

It's ok then. Thumbs Up Sounds good to me. I wonder if other branches of this project will be added to PA.

- a group of wind instruments, called Bicinia. Its members are Gilbert Gonzalez, on trombone; Pierre Cano, on trumpet; Pierre-Louis Ducreux, on horn; and Patrick Crestani, on tuba.

- there is also a String Quartet, composed of Jean-Cristophe Spinosi and Françoise Paugam, on violin; Laurence Paugam, on alto flute; Laurent-Yann Guigen, on cello.

- Thierry Runar Vot assumes bass and double bass.

- Benoit Pace on bass.

- Jean-Marc Goujon is on the ancient flute.

All these musicians or not quoted as collaborators, they're included as part of the band.

Thanks, done. I guess Laurence Paugam is on alto, not alto flute. Right?

KaLIVEoscope by Transatlantic has a DVD entry: http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=46837
But a CD digipak edition also exists (which I just picked up second-hand): https://www.discogs.com/master/752911-TransAtlantic-KaLIVEoscope

Shouldn't there be an entry in the live albums section of http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=337, just like for e.g. Live in Europe and Whirld Tour 2010?

^ I think we don't need another entry for the KaLIVEoscope release. All versions listed on Discogs include the video portion. To my knowledge, there is no version with CD's only.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

PsychPaul's recent Year's Top Albums thread has revealed the error in PA's database regarding the release date of MILES DAVIS's Nefertiti. Both Discogs and the Miles Davis official website report that, though it was recorded in the summer of 1967, it's official release date was January 15, 1968.

¡Gracias!

E&O Team: Thanks Drew, now fixed.

Also, it is an error here on PA to report Don Ellis' Shock Treatment as a 1967 release since the music was only recorded in the studio in early 1968.

E&O Team: Thanks, done. Also updated the whole page! Thumbs Up

Updated track, line-up, and releases information for "Jump in the Fire" by Metallica. The track listing is incorrect since it is using the track list of another EP combining both "Jump in the Fire" and "Creeping Death" which I have added.

Also, the release date should be updated to 1983.

1. Jump In The Fire (4:39)
2. Seek And Destroy (7:04)
3. Phantom Lord (4:52)

Total Time 16:35

Line-up:
- James Hetfield / vocals
- Cliff Burton / bass
- Lars Ulrich / drums
- James Hetfield / guitar
- Kirk Hammett / guitar

Releases Information:

Producer: Paul Curcio
Artwork: Mez
Painting: Les Edwards

Tracks 2 and 3 are not actual live tracks, they were studio tracks with crowd noise mixed in.

Quick fix for "Creeping Death / Jump In The Fire" by Metallica.

In releases information, "Track 1 Writers: James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, Cliff Burton" can be removed.

"Ron McGovney's '82 Garage Demo" and "Power Metal demo" by Metallica I believe should be removed since they are an unofficial release.

Updated track listing and releases information for "No Life 'til Leather demo" by Metallica.

4. Seek & Destroy (4:55)
