How come you have it already and I don't? AngryOuch

I hate you, Pat and the Romanian! LOL

I waited for it a week and a half.

Pat ordered it from Wayland (which got hold of it two days after Nov 5) and received it in, what, three days?

So let's just hate Wayland...and maybe Pat, kay? LOL

No. I'll do that when I return to OOIOO, but right now I just scrobbled Armonica Hewa.

If the new one is anything like their previous albums, I expect your reaction to be the same.  Although all their albums have so far been different.  TAIGA is their best.

And my Amazon order arrived today, sans Ementehtt-Re. Cry

I shall check to see if it's imminent.

I'm not sure personally whether I'd buy a refurbished machine but out of those two, the Gateway is the better.  64bit is the way to go.  Plus it's 2.4GHz. over 2.3GHz.... but that won't make too much difference.

I'd maybe think about either downgrading to XP or upgrading to Windows 7... but I think Vista has been ironed out a lot now.  I've personally never used it.

I know why Rico prefers the middle section, it's more akin to est.

If he was going to run Ubuntu I would recommend the 2nd machine.  No sense in running 32-bit operating systems anymore.

Less DDR Memory but does Vista use it all?  I know XP had a cap at 3.2 Gbs (I think).  But aye, 64 bit ftw!

Not even my laptop os 64 bit.  Just a lowly 32 bit. Cry

I already have a copy of Windows 7 thanks to my college, so I would just install that anyways.

I don't like buying refurbished, but it is one of the best deals I've found. I also don't like buying integrated graphics, but with over 4GB of RAM I wouldn't think it is a problem.

The 64-bit Vista will use it all.

And when I say downgrade to XP, I mean XP 64 bit.

If you can easily install Win7 64-bit, get the second machine.

The second one has a Core 2 Quad.  64-bit, 4 processors (cores).

Matt, I think getting a Quad is a bit of an overkill, but at $500 what the hell I suppose.
