Anthology of single and EP material by the Cocteau Twins that were never released on LPs. The early songs sound way punkier and more gothic than what the band would become popular for, with quite a few riffs that wouldn't song out of place in a song by Siouxsie and the Banshees or The Sisters of Mercy. (Liz Fraser's vocals from before she developed her distinctive glossolalia also remind me of a more disciplined Siouxsie)

I just put on "Tilt" by Arti + Mestieri

There are some excellent musicians in this band but that's what I would expect from an Italian band in the seventies.
Really like the way the violin interacts with the keyboards and you can't miss the strong bass.
