I'm Greek,so,always supporting the outsiders!
Some men are hunting hawks, some men are busy bees,
some louder than a storm, others silent as the trees,
but we're all dressed up as one, noone stands out in the crowd,
We're strangers in this town.

I hope I'm wrong, 'cause I've always been a fan of the Neherlands when it comes to football, but I just don't see this Dutch team going all the way neither. Sure, they'll probably beat Costa Rica, but they're missing something the other three semi-finalists have, IMO, an all around strong team with match winners in every position (Brazil now, without Thiago Silva and Neymar in the semi final, perhaps being the exception).

My bet's that this year's final will be a rematch of the finals of '86 and '90, Germany v. Argentina.

I agree Audun, sadly. Let's hope you are wrong.

Damn this match has been boring up until the last 10-12 minutes. V Persie is supposed to be one of the best trigger men in the business, and then he fails just about every chance he gets.
Robben is the only highlight of the match, that is when he is not doing his drama queen thang, which is unsympathetic to say the least.

Finally, the tide is turning in the Netherlands' long and sad history with penalties. My daughter said she would jump in the Oudegracht if the Dutch team would win... and she did!!!

Justice has been delayed 'til the end of the match... but finally it came ApproveClap!

I know Robben is disliked by many but he worked his butt off in this game. And I agree David that the first 80 minutes of this match was so boring I couldn't believe it. From then on though it was very entertaining.Clap

Nice pun. Wretched game that the Dutch just about deserved to win on chances created and having carried the greater attacking threat. I thought the ref should have booked Krul for 'unsporting behaviour/ungentlemanly conduct' for his belligerent badgering of every Costa Rican penalty taker before they took their kick. People will argue that it worked but the officials should never allow this type of panto psychology to enter the fray. (or just let them arm wrestle to find a winner) Sad.

He came in with an attitude, it was kind of cool but maybe it was nerves. I like to think he was trying to get in their heads though.
Crap I have to go back to work Monday but at least i'll get to see the second half of the semi finals live.

I actually thought Kuyt played a near perfect game. He didn't do much wrong, I thought, but perhaps I was watching with my Liverpool glasses on?

LOL Then you are lucky not to live in Utrecht indeed! My daughter shares my eccentricity and she adds some wrecklessness to it (I am a rather cautious person myself). Moreover, I remember lots of dead fish floating in the canal. But that was in 1980 or maybe 1981, some time before she was born.
