Didn't look like a dive to me. But that red shouldn't have been in that match.

And a boring match concludes with Shevchenko and Ukraine going through...

And he missed his pk LOL

I can not believe you are saying that Angry .

I remember her saying something to me... but I guess it didn't register Wink.  Either she went to pick up some dinner.... or find another man hahahha

For anyone who likes both literature & footie, they might find this amusing: England's World cup, written in the style of.......(the three examples printed are Raymond Chandler, JD Salinger & Lawrence Norfolk):

Incidentally, that's my tip (Spain) for the WC gone.......

And did no-one else see that utterly disgraceful foul by Ronaldinho on Addo in the first half of Brazil-Ghana ? Had it been by anyone else, the TV guys would still be going on about it; had it been by anyone else, and ignored by the ref (as it was), FIFA would have stepped in after the game & banned him. But because he's Brazilian & looks like a girlie, he gets away with it.........probably the worst foul of the WC so far.......

Are you sure? Well, the foul was a shame really but the several attempts of assassination made by some Ghanaians does not count? Before the interval we had 3 players with less than 50% of their capacity: Kaká, Emerson & Lúcio. I really do not know until now how Juan escaped unhurt after another criminal tackle.

Ribery has looked impressive throughout the tournament!  Who'd have thought Robert Pires couldn't get into the team, because of him?  Nice work!  Zidane's goal was excellent too.  It's just a shame I really don't like France!

I missed the Brasil v. Ghana game, but saw the Ronaldo goal on the news.  The Ze Roberto goal looked good too.

Of course, you're right, there were quite a few hacks on the Brazilians by the Ghanaians...Ouch...it's just that the media here - and the tv commentators in particular - seem to have beatified most of the Brazilians, if not actually canonised them - and absolve them of any sinful intent whatsoever.......I swear if Cafu were to do an Arnie impression & repel all boarders with a hail of bullets, he'd get no more than a mild dressing down from the ref.....Wink.........

I am very disappointed about the Brasilian team, if the Ghana players had been a bit more lucky in the first half .. but then it's always the same, the big team is helped by the referee and his team, what an obvious off side second goal Angry ! And Ronaldinho, what's wrong with him Wacko .. ? Brasil will meet a very inspired French team, loaded with regained self-confidence, I am looking forward to all 1/4 finals games, especially Germany against Argentina, fuerza MESSI!!

Weird things do happen!

I'm really not going to be too fussed if Portugal win on Saturday.  I'd be somewhat pleased actually.

And yes I am English.  My ancestry is English as far back as I can tell.  Virtually no Welsh, Irish or Scottish.
