In the album "Señales sin Edad" from Horizonte, the second song is actually called "Solo Espero que las Voces Canten", instead of "Solo Espero que las Luces Canten", which is the name that appears here: http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=18250

Another compilation album with: - Name / guitars - Name / drums My Dying Bride - A Harvest of Dread: https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=64484. This one is a 5CD monster, and the info we currently have on the page is correct, but has no total time, or formatting of the track listing. It's just a plain copy/paste from discogs. I ran it through the Progarchives AFT utility, and after a bit of rearrangement of the resulting text that emerged, I got this: Andrew Craighan Track Choices 1. 1-01 Vast Choirs (8:17) 2. 1-02 The Thrash Of Naked Limbs (6:11) 3. 1-03 The Snow In My Hand (7:08) 4. 1-04 Black Voyage (9:47) 5. 1-05 Apocalypse Woman (7:38) 6. 1-06 The Light At The End Of The World (10:38) 7. 1-07 Feel The Misery (6:18) Aaron Stainthorpe Track Choices 8. 2-01 Like A Perpetual Funeral (8:31) 9. 2-02 Two Winters Only (9:02) 10. 2-03 My Hope, The Destroyer (6:48) 11. 2-04 I Cannot Be Loved (7:05) 12. 2-05 A Doomed Lover (7:53) 13. 2-06 You Are Not The One Who Loves Me (6:48) 14. 2-07 And Then You Go (9:20) Towards The Sinister - Demo 1991 15. 3-01 Symphonaire Infernus Et Spera Empyrium (8:56) 16. 3-02 Vast Choirs (7:37) 17. 3-03 The Grief Of Age (4:11) 18. 3-04 Catching Feathers (3:43) God Is Alone - 7" 1991 19. 3-05 God Is Alone (4:59) 20. 3-06 De Sade Soliloquay (4:42) Unreleased Bitterness - 7" 1993 21. 3-07 The Bitterness & The Bereavement (7:38) Collector's Club - 7" 1994 22. 3-08 The Sexuality Of Bereavement (8:05) The Angel & The Dark River - Early Production Demos November 1994 23. 3-09 A Sea To Suffer In (6:15) 24. 3-10 From Darkest Skies (8:17) 25. 3-11 Your Shameful Heaven (7:01) The Angel & The Dark River - Instrumental Album Recording 26. 3-12 The Cry Of Mankind (7:12) Like Gods Of The Sun - Early Production Demos June 1996 27. 4-01 All Swept Away (4:18) 28. 4-02 Like Gods Of The Sun (5:58) 34.788%...Complete - Early Production Demos February 1998 29. 4-03 The Whore, The Cook, The Mother (9:43) 30. 4-04 An Unforgettable Journey (5:28) 31. 4-05 I Believe (7:06) 32. 4-06 On Monolith (5:07) 33. 4-07 Glorious Midnight (6:01) 34. 4-08 The Fool (5:23) Additional Rarities 35. 4-09 The Child Of Eternity (4:16) 36. 4-10 Scarborough Fair (6:20) 37. 4-11 Failure (6:46) 38. 4-12 Hollow Cathedra (6:43) Live At Rocknoise, Voorst 1997 39. 5-01 From Darkest Skies (7:56) 40. 5-02 The Cry Of Mankind (6:42) 41. 5-03 The Dark Caress (5:44) 42. 5-04 For You (7:14) 43. 5-05 A Kiss To Remember (7:27) 44. 5-06 Like Gods Of The Sun (6:28) 45. 5-07 All Swept Away (4:15) 46. 5-08 Your Shameful Heaven (6:11) Total time 315:06 That lot probably needs further refinement, but at least it's better than what's on the page at the moment lol! I'll leave it up to your own discretion regarding what text to enter in the Line up / Musicians section.

^ Yes please Julien.
I'm not going to go mad and overwhelm you guys with work like I did in the early stages of the 'FLAC download' clear-out back in Jan 2021, but I might have a look at perhaps one a day to help gradually bring the number down. I think the major releases would be the main priority, so if the list is segregated into groups (as you've shown it above in blue) then I'd concentrate on those entries first, probably followed by the live albums.

Thanks Julien.
The first one from that list: https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=54346. - Geoffrey "G Free" Veron / guitar - Jérémy Cas / bass - Sébastien Pineau / drums - Vincent Barbaud / guitar ^ This was the line up for the first album, and according to this review was also the line up for the second one. According to the band's facebook (June 2020) Vincent has since been replaced on 2nd guitar by someone named Bob. They actually spell Geoffrey Veron's nickname "G Free" without a space (as Gfree) on facebook, but everywhere else on the Internet the space seems to be included. Milky Clear Double Gatefold Vinyl LP Black Wave Promotion - BWP004 (2016, France) Digipak CD Black Wave Promotion - BWP005 (2016, France) ^ Although the CD has a Black Wave Promotion reference number here, discogs suggest that it is an Abysse self release. I tend to think that this is an error, but I'll let you make your own mind up. I couldn't confirm it elsewhere, and several other sites I looked at (even metal-archives.com - see the 'other versions' tab) got the label name wrong anyway - saying it is Blue Wave Production (which is actually a blues label!) Abysse's label is definitely Black Wave Promotion, as this facebook link or this video will confirm. The image we currently have on our page seems to be the one for the CD and digital versions of the album from what I could make out. The image that was on the front of the vinyl issue is here if you want to use that one instead.

I was looking up Mike Oldfield at PA to see which his latest studio album is, and I noticed that Tubular Bells - 50th Anniversary Celebration (2022) is listed as his latest release (CLICK). This seems to be a tribute album by The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra , and so I would have expected this recording to be in the VA: Tributes (CLICK) section where one will find various other The Royal Philharmonic Tributes (Queen, Rick Wakeman, Pink Floyd, Phil Harmonic-Collins j/k...).
This can be an interesting issue in general terms as Mike Oldfield is the composer, and I would sooner expect to find Beethoven's 9th performed by the Berliner Philharmoniker listed under B for Beethoven than under B for Berliner (Ich bin ein Berliner) or in the various artists and tributes section of the record store. But it clearly is a tribute album and would think it should be moved, but you guys are better at researching and considering such things than I. I also notice that there is another of his albums with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in that studio album section, The Orchestral Tubular Bells (CLICK) this at least features Mike Oldfield performing with the RPO, but this collaboration should be under live albums according to rateyourmusic and wikipedia. Next album: https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=62125.
The line up of April Rain for all its albums and EPs released so far was: - Valery Bykov / guitar, vocals - Pavel Kuznetsov / guitar - Vaska Zhuravlev / bass guitar - Denis Arinovich / drums Vaska Zhuravlev was still in the band on bass for the presentation of the last album 'Mirror of Ether' on May 8th 2021 (see this VK link for the image of the band members at the concert - Vaska is on the extreme right). He had left by October 2021 though, and had been replaced by 'The Other Wind's departing bassist Tosha Medvedev. See https://vk.com/wall-10775_13401?lang=en. This album can therefore also be updated with the same line up, and Vaska can be added to the line up of the most recent album too. This latest album was self-released (CD-r and digitally via bandcamp) on 21st January 2021. We currently have no info at all in that section of its page, since the Releases information heading itself seems to have disappeared from there. There was a live concert featuring some tracks from the latest album, with Vaska Zhuravlev on bass, played on 25th Sept 2020. Edit: The translation that Google gives of the original line up with Zhuravlev on bass give the English equivalent of his first name as 'Vasily' (or Vasiliy) rather than 'Vaska'. See: https://vk.com/wall-45632628_2636?lang=en and Google Translate's English interpretation of his first name written in Russian. I have left the first name as 'Vaska' though, which we already have in the biography and the first three albums, since I don't know which of the two is the more accurate translation. It seems from this page that Vaska (or Vasya) is actually the diminutive form of Vasiliy, and diminutives tend to be used more generally by those who know the person concerned well. I'll leave it to you to choose which one to use on the April Rain pages which include his name.

^ Yes, Vaska (or Vasya) is actually the diminutive form of Vasiliy.
As well as Tosha (Medvedev) is the diminutive of Anton. Unlike in English, diminutives are not used that often in Russian. Thanks, Done. P.S. Hate when members of new bands want to stay unknown and don't point out their names on bandcamp (CDs, LPs) though. OK, you don't need screaming girls and other attributes of glory, but have at least mercy to those who works with discographies! Edited by NotAProghead - February 01 2023 at 16:10 |

I totally agree about the frustration of band members wanting to keep their names under wraps! It was hard going trying to track the info down for these guys! Regarding Vasiliy Zhuravlev, he is mentioned in the band's biography too using his diminutive name of Vaska. Perhaps worth altering that to Vasiliy too, so that it matches the entries we have for him in the line ups of the albums and EPs? I suppose we could go a step further and mention that Vasiliy left the band sometime after the 'Mirror of Ether' album had been released and promoted in 2021, and was replaced on bass later that year by The Other Wind's departing bassist Anton (Tosha) Medvedev.
