Thing with Soundgarden is, they were pretty dull (IMO) for most of their career.  Then they suddenly got extremely good, and broke up.  I was disappointed.

I tried Badmotorfinger numerous times, but never really could get into it, except for 2-3 great songs I really liked.  Definitely a step up from their earliest stuff though.

Come to think of it, it did have a good drum sound.  But more importantly it's probably one of the best albums of the 90s, period.  It's pretty scary how good it is.

SPOOONMAAAAAAN

Favorite song on the album, because drums.

I disagree. Besides their late 80s and punky stuff, i loiked their music. Even their most recent one.

Down on the Upside?  Yeah, that one was great too.  I really thought they were poised to be the next Led Zeppelin - a creative rock powerhouse that knew no boundaries.  And though I hope I'm proven wrong, I can't imagine them re-capturing that today.
