i liek/tink Fugees cover of Killing me softly is actually better then the original and it stands as the only exemple of the saying that the original is often better then the copy/cover

Do I like Godsized?  They're playing at my local metal club soon.

Quite solid IMO.

Blimey, that was quick!  How does it compare to Fear Draws Misfortune?

Hard to tell, have only listened to it once.  Probably not as good, but obviously still worth getting if you're a fan of the band.

I still need to listen to Cardiacs.  One day I'll get around to it.

Guapo's Black Oni has that affect on me though, as does Magma's Opera de Reims.

Cheer-Accident are a strange band.  I prefer it when they're doing the Henry Cow style stuff personally.  They do a lot of slower stuff though.

They're always changing plus that line-up is huge!

SnowPat, I'm not sure if you'll like Spontaneous Music Ensemble or not.  It all depends if you're a fan of AMM and free jazz.  I'd say check some of their stuff out though.

Is he a post-avant whalecore djenthead too?

I just found out Fair to Midland are doing an album release party/show in Madison this July.  I can still get meet n' greet passes for 36 dollars.  I am so doing this.

Not sure.  He likes Devin Townsend, TesseracT and Periphery .  But he also likes stuff like Seether, KMFDM, Ill Nino, Skindred, Bowling for Soup, Dream Theater, Panic Cell, Deicide, Anal c**t, Melvins, Death, Dimmu Borgir and Godsized.

So a mixed bag really.

That chap in your signature (forget his name) looks like the comedian guy who's name I've also forgotten.

That was a pointless sentence.

That's Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, James.

And I don't like most of those other bands he listed except for Death, DT, and the Melvins.

I can't wait either, Pat.  It's probably my most anticipated album of the year.

Oh balls, I just realized: The day before the CD release party/show with Fair to Midland is the Animals as Leaders/Intronaut/Dead Letter Circus/Last Chance to Reason/Evan Brewer show in Chicago.  Oh my god.  That's got to be the most f*cking incredible weekend ever.

I know you don't, that's why I listed them separately. LOL

I presume he does like other stuff you like but it doesn't say on his Facebook page.

I cannot say I've ever heard anything by Ever Forthright.

Here's some Ever Forthright for you, then, James:

Yes, it's a djent group, but I can guarantee you will like them a lot more than Periphery.  Their vocalist is much better, and they have a permanent sax player and jizztastic keyboards.

That's their best track to date IMO.

This release along with the new Opeth are probably my most anticipated.
