I know. I googled it. You really have some weird idioms (but I like them!LOL).

@VanderGraaf Kommandöh: Yes, one of these four.
@refugee: No, not before 1800. Surely he was a contemporary of "h". Wink

Btw: I had to look for the term "a man of the cloth" as well, although my own thoughts about its meaning proved to be right. But I wanted to be sure to give the right answer...

The religious tried to force him to conformity.

Was he an Old Lutheran, Neo-Lutheran or a High Church Lutheran?

Even though I don’t find an obvious link to Tubular Bells, I’m convinced that the man in question is Johann Blumhardt.

But i have no idea who "h" is.

Clap Well done! It is Johann Christoph Blumhardt (1805-1880), Lutheran theologian.

To explain a few things:
* Tubular Bells was used in the film The Exorcist. This link was less obvious indeed.
* h is the symbol for Planck's constant. This referred to the previous person, Eliphas Levi, who was a contemporary of Johann Blumhardt.

No, not an athlete.

His grandmother, famous in her own right, is more than 100 years old.

Chris Weitz?

Edit: I am listening to a programme on BBC Radio 4 Extra about the Assassination of JFK and the Police on the scene were saying "there's someone running up that hill".

How strange!

Wow! Amazing!

ClapClap and another Clap!!!

I will probably be translating his first, not yet published novel, The Young World. I’ll send the first few pages to my editor tonight, and if she’s satisfied, we can celebrate Christmas this year too.

I still can’t believe you found him that fast …

Well I have a list of 100+ year old folk who are famous for their careers and not their longevity.  It was just a matter of going through the females until I found one.  In this case, Lupita Tovar.

And I wasn't sure if it was Chris or his brother Paul you were after.

Anyhow, need to think of a new one now.

Male, real, deceased.

OK, I’m still impressed. And it could have been Paul if it wasn’t for the first hint, pointing towards the Twilight saga.

Back to the game: Did he die before 1800?

Ah, well I've not seen Twilight so the clue didn't make any difference to me.

No.

Clues will come in a few turns.

Yes.

Clues will be difficult but I'll try my best (there's no clue in this statement -- I'll highlight them).
