That's some sort of baseball for third-world countries and their former colonists, right?

The programme starts at 8 a.m. though.  They have to talk a lot of bollocks first before the race starts.

Do players sleep?

I take it you are serious.

Yes, it starts in the morning and stops in the evening, it carries over to the next day.

Thats awesome. I only got to play in a few 50 over games. I was never that great at cricket and quit a couple of years ago. I might get back into it sometime though

5 days if you're lucky. Big smile

But yes, as Ben said, they usually start at 11 (sometimes 10:30) and finish at 5 (or 6).

Then they do that again for the next 4 days (unless the game is won or drawn before then).

And Canada play Cricket.

I play a senior and premier grade club Cricket here. To give you an idea of the quality, our premier team last season had a New Zealand Test player, three first class players a Sri Lankan pro and two British age group reps. I only ever got in the team through injuries or when the reps played at a higher level.

Tea breaks used to be tea (sometimes beer for the badasses), no they are probably more protein shakes and energy suppliments now.

Our Sri Lankan pro was amazing, he's played with Murali, Malinga and Sangakkara... but I didn't know this when I first met him. I made the mistake of trying to bounce him in the nets. I'm not exactly slow, but he demolished me. Then someone pointed out he averages like 40 in Sri Lankan first class.
