What's your favourite TMV album, Austin? I've read that you really like the newest one. |
I don't think i've ever made a TMV ranking for their albums. It's so difficult for me. And yea, i think their newest one is brilliant. They really worked the shorter-song style well on that album.
Hmmm...
1. Deloused in the Comatorium - Best mixture of their characteristics 2. Noctourniquet - Emotionally charged, catchy, best vocals 3. Amputechture - Really strong long songs, omar finds an obvious comfort zone 4. Frances the Mute - has the greatest song ever written (Cassandra Gemini), classic Cygnus, Widow and Miranda's ending are weak points, plus i wish the title track made it. 5. Bedlam - hard hitting, but super long and sometimes becomes monotonous, Goliath/Cavalettas/Llyena are some career highlights. 6. Octahedron - consistent, accessible

Same here. Not sure about C. Frais. Either a 3.5 or 3

Bard, what do you think of Post-Deloused The Mars Volta? |
I haven't heard the last two, but I love parts of the three other albums. Then again, there are parts on all three I'm not that fond of, but I'm not that familiar with them yet either, so they might grow on me even more. As of now I would say Frances is a four-star album, potentially five, and the other two three-stars, potentially four. |
Ah cool, interesting opinion. What do you think of Amputechture - that's an album what usually divides TMV fans.
Would you describe Frances the Mute has having extensive end/into filler?
|
I personaly think Noctourniquet is excellent, and Cedric's finest hour. Amputechture is my favorite, Octahedron is the weakest and Frances The Mute's long suite could be much better. They are one of my favorite modern bands.

My tickets were $72.50 each before Ticketmaster charges, which were probably another $15 each. These were for lower bowl seats. There were less expensive seats for the upper bowl, and more expensive seats for the floor, and outrageously expensive seats for right next to the stage.

Hi!
Rush jealousy right here
I hope you have a great concert experience and that Geddy is on song. Please review the show and remember the setlist for us poor people who cannot make it.
Great that you can go

Hi both Scotts and Sagichim. I'm still deciding whether to go see Rush this tour or not. I know a lot of people who are going to the Atlanta show.

I don't know anyone else who is going to the Rush show. My friend is coming with me but she would rather not. I've kind of lost touch with most of my friends that were big Rush fans. My brother-in-law went with me last time, but I guess that once was enough for him.

I would suspect that my buddy who moved down to the Atlanta area will definitely be going to the Atlanta show.
