Mmmm, was that one of the Ibanez RG Prestige 8's by any chance? They look awesome. Not sure if you've heard of Agile, but they seem to do the most reasonably priced 8's out of most big manufacturers and they have an amazing range too.

I quit piano 2-3 years ago as it became more like a long term commitment than an enjoyable hobby, and soon after that most of my interest faded. I probably would've stuck with it if I wasn't doing lessons for so long.

I have guitar lessons for quite a while now, and they definitely don't restrict my playing/progress in any possible way.  But like you said it's all about personal approach. I suppose most people want to play like it says in the rulebook.

That's definitely just from my personal experience, I'm guessing it was mostly from learning classical piano which really was no fun at all that made it such a restrictive learning process. I mostly learn to play instruments by feel nowadays, I can't even read notation anymore

Anyway, I'm off to bed. It's already the 2nd last day of my last school holidays ever :(
