Wow Matt! Quite a big list. Let me know how The Basement Tapes are, I've always been hesitant since I've heard good and bad. I love The Band's entire catalouge but haven't gotten that one for one reason or another.

For me it is one of those special Dylan albums. It is different as it is a bit more raw with the recording and the songs but that is where the magic is. So many great tracks. I have it on record but only got it on cd because they have finally remastered it as the original cd issue is flat. A  classic, but you are talking to me a mad Dylan fanLOL

Anyway I am about to drop as the grand kids are coming over for some quality time with the old blokeWink

Yeah, its actually my first Deep Purple album! I've always wanted to check them out and I saw "Machine Head" at a local bookstore at a low price, so I decided to pick it up.

I really did enjoy it, I'd like to listen to "Shades of Deep Purple" next and probably "In Rock" and "Fireball" too.

I reckon Deep Purple and Book of Taliesyn are better than Shades, but, go on, get all three - I've had 'em for years and still enjoy all three - as well as every mk II album, of courseSmile
It's not that I can't find worth in anything, it's just that I can't find worth in enough.

Don't be so surprised. I have nothing by Deep purple so far (though I heard In Rock and Made in Japan). I've never been a big fan.

^ Yup. Smile Very good album, as well. Surprising that the very next thing the band would make is DSotM, though. A far cry, musically.

I'm the same way. My stepfather asked me the other day why I have reviewed more Yes albums than Deep Purple, because he think that DP killed Yes. Yeah right, lol.
