new direct link ( but I reckon it's a fan page, thus the tag should be renamed)

^ We can't change tags. If the band (artist) does not have an official website most suitable site (page) is used.

^ OK, I didn't know and thought appropriate to suggest Big smile
Anyhow, the new link I gave is straight direct to the same webpage the present finally leads to, only that it does so by redirecting the browser.

^ I'm not sure it's necessary to change the link if in the end we see the right page.

Hello.

Thanks for including us on your website. We did not realise that we had been added until today! However, the band photo and information that you have for us are about five years out of date.

We can e-mail a new photo to you if you send us an e-mail address. Alternatively, could you please download and paste the picture from the top of this page: http://www.serpentyne.com/#!info-for-bookers/c1uim
...this is the one that we mainly use for promotion purposes now.

Here is an updated band description:

- - - - -

“Turbocharged folk” - Prog magazine, UK.

"A heady mix... think Ozric Tentacles meets the Orb meets
Gregorian chant." - Americana UK.

"The next big thing in folk-rock." - Northwest Folk, UK.

2014 saw the release of “Myths & Muses,” the second album from the UK’s premier
‘Mythic Rock’ band, Serpentyne.

The band was formed by Maggie-Beth Sand (lead singer and multi-instrumentalist) and
Mark Powell (guitar, hurdy-gurdy, keyboards) in 2010, and their first album, “Stella Splendens,”
was released that year. Since then, Serpentyne's fusion of traditional and self-penned tunes
and songs with rock and DJ grooves has taken them to concert and festival stages of all types,
across the UK and mainland Europe.

They have headlined at major festivals such as Montreux, and have played
opening slots for artists such as Rick Wakeman and The Orb.

A third album,    “The Serpent's Kiss,” is now in production, and is scheduled for release
in late 2015.

- - - - -

Thanks very much, and best wishes,

Maggie-Beth Sand and Mark Powell.

It's really up to you, but my reasoning was that the day the redirection from the old to the new page ceases to work we'll end up with a dead link.

But most likely you're right, José. Thanks, done as you suggest.

Thanks very much, and best wishes,

Maggie-Beth Sand and Mark Powell.

Nice to see artists here.

I've slightly reworked SERPENTYNE http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=9444 bio, now it looks like this:
"SERPENTYNE mixes the medieval, ancient, and contemporary instrumentation and lyrics, layered with a renaissance motifs. The group augments their numerous live performances with period dress and dance for a unique audio and visual experience.

The band was formed by Maggie-Beth Sand (lead singer and multi-instrumentalist) and Mark Powell (guitar, hurdy-gurdy, keyboards) in 2010, and their first album, "Stella Splendens", was released that year. Since then, SERPENTYNE's fusion of traditional and self-penned tunes and songs with rock and DJ grooves has taken them to concert and festival stages of all types, across the UK and mainland Europe.

They have headlined at major festivals such as Montreux, and have played opening slots for artists such as Rick Wakeman and The Orb. 2014 saw the release of their critically-acclaimed second album, "Myths and Muses".

Music press calls SERPENTYNE the UK's premier 'Mythic Rock' band and warmly characterizes their music:
"Turbocharged folk" - Prog magazine, UK.
"A heady mix... think Ozric Tentacles meets the Orb meets Gregorian chant" - Americana, UK.
"The next big thing in folk-rock" - Northwest Folk, UK.

>> Bio by Bob Moore (aka ClemofNazareth) and SERPENTYNE<<"

I excluded the mention of forthcoming album because the day of its release this sentence "A third album, “The Serpent's Kiss,” is now in production, and is scheduled for release in late 2015" will become obsolete.

The photo changed, but it would be helpful to have a better one. You can post it in the forum or send me PM. Please take into consideration that "vertical" photos (for example, this one: http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=94) look better on PA pages because the picture width is limited.
